Luxury on a Budget Chelmsford - B&B ROOM in a quiet family home

Compact, well-equipped room, with the owner having thought a great deal about what people staying might need. Food was provided for breakfast and snacks. Fridge, microwave and toaster, kettle and iron.

I stayed here to get the 0900 ferry to the Netherlands from Harwich. It was only a 45 min drive in the morning. But what really stood out was the quality of the accommodation and other facilities provided. So much in the way of food and snacks that I was able to make my own breakfast and save a lot of time. I didn’t even have appetite left for the fresh crumpets provided. The room is so comfortable and accessible was really easy and convenient. Honestly cannot recommend enough.

The choices of breakfast and snacks were second to none. The written instructions were ever so helpful The host was very friendly and attentive. The only issue was the location, which for our purposes was a bit far out.

The room was comfortable very clean and had everything you needed. There are food and snacks, all types of non alcoholic drinks, tea and coffee. The shower was very good. Location is near the town, a little to far to walk though. I never had breakfast but it was there if you wanted it. A good entry system. This is one of the best equipped rooms I have stayed at for the price.

The bed was to soft for me. The room needs a smaller television as I hit my shoulder on it whilst maneuvering around the bed

Lovely host. It was lovely and clean. Excellent value for money. It felt homely, the facilities were just outstanding. Bed was lovely and comfortable. Will definitely 100% stay again if we visit.
