Stylish room above the pub. Ukrainian food was delicious and a homemade vegetarian option was sourced for valentines too. Friendly bar with lots of games. A great local pub.

Our original room was not available when we arrived so we were offered a choice with a fair warning that a one-off party might be noisy. To be fair I chose based on the modern bathroom not the noise warning. The party wasn’t, but the Friday night music was loud until about 12:30 which was not great as we had a reasonably early start. Perhaps I should have chosen the back room instead!

I stayed at this gorgeous country pub midweek whilst visiting friends. It was the most perfect find in a picturesque Oxfordshire village. The pub is completely authentic and homely with a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere and the room surpassed expectations with the most luxurious, high quality bedding which is a must for me but rarely seen outside a high end hotel. I had a great meal from their Ukrainian chef with a baked avocado and egg dish followed by a succulent chicken escalope. The staff were all welcoming and informal and couldn’t be more friendly and I had a delightful picnic breakfast delivered to my room in a wicker basket. The owners even let me use their EV charger!

Breakfast hamper was perfect. Location was idyllic, very quiet and plenty of parking. The food was great. Quality and choice of the beer were excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. Evening events in the pub added to the enjoyment
