Room was tatty, water from the shower rose only came out of a quarter of the jets and they let noisy people use the garden until midnight.

Spacious room, very comfortable bed.

Lovely, cool room with a decent en-suite. Excellent king-size bed which was really comfortable. Beautiful village setting. This is a good base for touring around and came at a very reasonable price.

It would have been nice to have fresh towels every day and the option of a full breakfast would have been good but we did know that wasn't provided before we arrived. The door to the room was incredibly hard to open due to the thick pile of the carpet in the corridor.

The red lion was a very friendly pub with really nice owners, that made you feel welcome. They went out of their way to supply us with a small fridge for our room so that we could put milk and yoghurt in as my husband is lactose intolerant. The rooms do Not normally have a fridge. The bed was really comfortable and very large. The bathrooms do need some upgrading but they were still usable for shower and any other needs. A longer mirror would have been a bonus. Coffee maker and tea making facilities & kettle also glasses with a pitcher of water by the bed. Nice bedding and towels.

Loved the location and facilities, location and hosts but very very disappointed that breakfast wasn't included. Savages who are a 2 minute drive away offer a wholesome cooked breakfast for £8.

Fantastic location, in the heart of the village. Staff were welcoming and food was absolutely amazing. We could not fault our stay at all. They were doing a special bank holiday bbq event when we stayed and we ate here both days. Chef was so knowledgeable and everything was home made and fresh. Room was very good in size and had everything we needed. Bed the most comfortable I've stayed in away from home. So peaceful at night..... literally no sound at all!
