Essentia Udaipur Luxury Resort & Spa

I have submitted my feedback on Google too. Not a pleasant stay at all.

Staff not welcoming, resort falsely claiming spa facilities. Asked us to overpay. Not hospitable. Location too far from other restaurants. Takes forever to deliver food. Food menu at hotel is limited. No liquor available at hotel. Pool was already unavailable as marriage function was booked. Basketball court was too messy and full of dirt and sand. I have more to say but cant waste my time anymore. Not recommended at all

1. All bathrooms stink - we changed rooms but same issue as exhaust does not work 2. Poor in-room dining support - they mostly don’t pick calls. I waited for 45 mins to get a glass of milk for kids / the kids slept off and the in-room dining called and asked “what do you need?” 3. Reception forgot instructions on items needed and I had to walk down after 30 mins to remind them 4. We were mandatorily required to pay 4500 per adult and 3000 per kid for a dull new year party - we understand all hotels do in new year but this was not worth the cost 5. They have another new building where we were originally given rooms - the bathroom has no shampoo or conditioner dispensers, no hooks to hang clothes and water would not go in sink post shower for 10-15 mins / so we changed it to main building which was better and more decent 6. It’s far - so be prepared to spend extra for cabs just to arrive there / and assume 30 to 45 mins additional time to reach the main city attractions 7. The food taste was good but the spread options are limited. Similar to what you will find in 3-star properties

Shoutout to Anuj, Chotu and Mayank for taking care of us. The hotel and facilities are quite new - so really enjoyed our stay. The buffet breakfast had plenty of options with menu items from both Indian and western cuisines. We also tried A la carte dinner and it was great - chicken Bhujma was my favourite. The hotel location is fair bit away from the city - so if you like the tranquillity of nature with peace and quite the location might appease you.

The location - it's a minimum 30-40 minutes drive to any attraction within the city. Getting Uber for pick-up and drop-off can be a bit of a challenge. Also, the hotel doe not yet have license to serve alcohol - which was a bit of a downer. The pool is outdoors and is not heated, also the facilities around the pool are not yet operational. Its a nice hotel but does have the resort vibe to it.
