Harry Potter 2-Bed House | Cinema Room

Location was perfect and the house was suitable for a large family.

The single beds mattresses need replacing as the spring mattress were worn not comfy.

My daughter had a fantastic time at The Hogwarts Retreat. She loved using the cinema room to watch films and play with her new gifts from Harry Potter studios. The house was clean and tidy. Beds were super comfy. The owner was quick to reply to any questions we had. Location was very near to the train station. Only a 24 minute walk to the bus to HP World or a five minute walk to the train station to get the train to Watford junction to get the bus. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

The toilet being downstairs and at the otherside of the house was a pain but is absolutely expected in an old house. My daughter did slip down both sets of stairs as they are very steep and don't have sides (clearly shown in photos). So just a word of warning to make sure they hold the rails properly or you walk down before them.

Wir haben eine Unterkunft für einen schönen Urlaub in London gesucht und diese gefunden. Nach der Buchung haben wir (2 Familien mit insgesamt 4 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern) uns sehr auf den Urlaub, insbesondere wegen der Unterkunft gefreut. Vor der Anreise bekamen wir eine Nachricht mit allen Infos zur Anreise. Am Haus angekommen, nahmen wir den Schlüssel aus dem Schließfach und uns traf der Schlag, als wir die Wohnung betraten. Nichts sah aus, wie auf den Bildern. Die Unterkunft war dreckig, viel kleiner als auf den Bildern und nicht für die angegebenen 6 Personen eingerichtet. Handtücher, die auf den Betten lagen und für uns zum abtrocknen gedacht waren, hatten Flecken und sahen nicht gewaschen aus. Genauso war es mit der Bettwäsche. Die Einrichtung war maximal zweckdienlich. Beim Öffnen der Tür des Schrankes, dachte ich, diese würde rausfallen. Egal was man in dieser Unterkunft angefasst hat, alles war klebrig und dreckig. Die Fußböden sahen nicht gereinigt aus und auch unter den Hängeschränken hingen Spinnenweben etc.. In der Küche gab es Besteck/ Geschirr für 4 Personen (wir haben für 6 gebucht) auch dies war alles dreckig. Der angepriesene Cinema-Raum war eine kleine Räuberhöhle, mit kaum genug Platz für die beiden Kinder. In der ganzen Wohnung gibt es ein Badezimmer, welches man auch nicht abschließen kann. Für einen Urlaub mit mehreren Familien wirklich schwierig. Nach langem hin und her geschreibe mit der Vermieterin hat sie uns irgendwann angeboten ihren "Reinigungstrupp" noch einmal zu schicken. Das wollten wir nicht, da wir mit dem Gesamtzustand der Wohbung nicht zufrieden waren und wir auch der Meinung waren, dass ein Reinigungstrupp diese ganzen Mängel nicht zufriedenstellend hätte beseitigen können. Das nächste Angebot waren 50% Rückzahlung, bei ca. 1000€ für 3 Nächte in dieser Kaschemme, wollten wir uns natürlich auch hierauf nicht einlassen. Zum Schluss bot sie uns eine Ausweichunterkunft an.

Great location as it very close to tube station and close to Harry Potter Studios, just a 15 minute drive. There is also a free shuttle bus from Watford station which is close by. Kids enjoyed the movie room as well! Supermarkets, shops and restaurants close by just a short walk away. Host really lovely and helpful with all the questions I asked.

We loved the property, the kids loved the downstairs space. The location was within perfect walking distance of the train station & the shopping centre which is fantastic.

The parking situation around the property is a tad inconvenient. We parked at the premier inn booking a space through your parking space and walked 10 minutes to the property.

The cinema room was a great addition for our stay. Location worked well for us too. Beds comfy

Very small thing but it would have been good to access the garden area. Couldn’t find a key.

Well the temperature and heating of the house was an initial problem, but resolved with some communication with the landlord
