Harry Potter 2-Bed House | Cinema Room

Upon entering the accommodation, we loved it. We thought it would be more themed around Harry Potter, but our kids were very impressed because they weren't expecting it. So, that part was great. The problem arose after being there for a while and starting to notice issues... The oven was so dirty inside that when we turned it on, the fire alarm started beeping. Almost all of the windows were locked, making it very difficult to ventilate the smoke. The kitchen cabinets were falling apart, especially the one containing the dishwasher. There was a washing machine, and inside we found the towels of the previous guests. The wardrobe in the master bedroom was also in poor condition. There was dirt accumulated on the floor in some places. When I was taking a shower, I had the unpleasant surprise of finding that the bottle labeled "body washl" actually contained water mixed with a little bit of soap. Finally, we missed a few things. There was ground coffee, but no coffee maker or anything to filter it. There was nowhere to hang the bathroom towels. We were two adults and three kids, aged 3, 5, and 7, and there was a double bed and two single beds. We needed to use the sofa bed, but there were no sheets to put on it.

Adults on edge for 3 days and youngest was not allowed up and down the stairs due to no rails Found a toe nail on the sofa in the main living room and there are several repairs / faulty parts in the kitchen required - at one point the kitchen plinth fell off We parked outside the property as we weren’t aware we couldn’t so god knows what will happen with that

The cinema/games room was fab my daughter loved it here the house was clean and the host was very friendly and accommodating I couldn't recommend this place enough

The beds were very warm and perfect for the cold nights. The location was great for our trip to Harry Potter studios and the downstairs room was perfect for watching the films!

The kitchen facilities were a little limited but we made use of the restaurants nearby.

Very clean and good location. Staff is also very nice.

Only one toilet, not very convenient for the night and little child.

Location across from park is lovely and easy walk to train station Clean, beds comfortable, fantastic quick communication with host, Harry Potter theme great … would love for it to have more 🙂 Friendly squirrels !!!!

Pity parking pass not available for guests as much residential parking available outside property difficult to agree with ‘Luxury’ in name title, accomodation smaller than appears and lots of minor repair jobs requiring, and cooking utensils crockery etc minimal Good if outside patio space at back could be tidied up and available for use Safety issue - nonslip bath mat should be provided and stairs to 1st floor no barrier ? Unsafe for kids

Location was good, close to Harry Potter and the train station. Host was helpful before the stay.

First night after a long drive and a evening in Harry Potter was in need of a hot drink , no cups in cupboard, opened the dishwasher to find a full load of dirty pots. Bathroom very damp, toilet leaking at the back, leaves an awful smell in there. Main bedroom very cold , resulted in us not being able to sleep in there. Screws and wires hanging down on basement stairs, very dangerous. Pull out sofa bed has a gap in it , uncomfortable to sleep on, could see all popcorn in the gap. Kitchen cupboards dirty on outside. Renovation quality seems very much DIY on a Budget, not worth the price paid at all. Have emailed the host twice since left with these concerns, not had a reply.
