So natural and nice

Too many steps and no hand rails

Location is ideal, one of the few options that fits into a route plan. There's a reason why the mass EasyRider tours use this place as a stop. It's a pretty decent compound, which made my stay disappointing. If you need a place to stay in the area, just spend the $15, the extra for the Clay House gets you nothing.

"Baguette" = piece of white toast. You're trapped for food & they know it. One meal plate = 200kVND (dinner for 2 was 600k VND). The "free breakfast" DOES NOT inc coffee, and the coffee is terrible (35k VND). Put into perspective, I just had dinner for 2 at the Obama shrine in Hanoi for 140kVND (with beer would add 70k). I usually spend the extra $15 to avoid the legendary rock hard beds at homestays and the cheap 2-3 star hotels, but the bed at the Clay House was, well.... made of rock hard clay (figuratively, but might as well be). Also, bathrooms dont use proper p-traps or anything conceptually related to prevent sewer gases from leaking into the room so MAKE SURE TO SHUT YOUR BATHROOM DOOR UPON IMMEDIATE ARRIVAL!

Spacious room and comfortable bed. There's electric blanket to keep you warm if you travel in the winter. Largest homestay in the Pa Vi village so you can walk around.

Akward bathroom layout. Bathroom floor is always wet.

Good vibes and good services. The rooms were large and clean.
