Meo Vac Clay House

This is a place for people who don’t know how to travel. I’d equate it to a cruise type accommodation for the Ha Giang Loop. Don’t book here unless you want to be bombarded by loud and pretty ignorant English and Dutch backpackers doing the loop with a tour company. The actual site is wonderful and indeed very pretty, but the staff are somewhat apathetic and people who stay there are not great. Actually, I’m sure the staff would be more accommodating if they weren’t hassled by immature English and Dutch kids on a near daily basis. I mean it was almost offensive to Meo Vac as an entire region that this is allowed to exist. I really mean that

The air conditioner outlet drains onto the bathroom floor, which makes it very slippery & permanently wet. A party atmosphere in the main eating area which was very noisy & loud music Meals within the complex very expensive.

One of my best place in Vietnam!

If you get a room in the separate building (like us), you should be fine when it comes to noise. The room was ok, it had everything you need, including AC.

There were large, noisy groups staying there. Bed was really hard, so if you prefer softer ones, too bad. The restaurant's floor was sticky in the morning, probably because of people partying the previous night. Breakfast was pretty basic, without coffee. For some reason, the water outflow in the bathroom was blocked and stinky.

Nice room and big beds.

Bathroom not clean. When we checked in the lady at the desk shook her head and told us no when we showed our booking confirmation. Had to wait for a while until someone else came to check in.

Location was good. Spacious room. Probably as good as you are going to get in the area due to lack of other reasonable accommodation in town.

Bedding was grubby. Bathroom was grubby. Food was bad. We are a couple travelling and they were mainly catering for large groups of motorcycle tour groups. Food was served cold and tasteless. Charge per night is therefore too high compared to other hotels we have stayed in in Vietnam.
