Price.
GBWe are doing the coast to coast and have stayed in some lovely pubs and hotels along the way. The white lion was the most expensive and the least comfortable. The room and en-suite was small and the electric shower went from hot to cold. The packed lunch was over priced and not great. The staff were nice and the lounge bar area are cosy. My main complaint is that it was very expensive for the quality of accommodation.

Lack of sound insulation between rooms
GBExcellent service from Matthew who made sure we were well looked after after a long day walking on the Coast to Coast route. Delicious food both in the evening and breakfast the next morning. The pub was busy and lively which was great to see. The rooms were a high standard and suited us perfectly.
Shower temperature was a little variable.

Nothing to dislike - room was a little cold but it was below freezing outside. Other half thought the mattress was on the hard side but lovely for me!
