GBThe staff were great - really helpful and went out specially to buy vegetarian sausages for breakfast
1. The shower in the room was an incomprehensibe and rather feeble electric shower - the sort that is hard to adjust the temperature and occasionally randomly goes boliing hot or freezing cold, despite the fact you have not touched the controls. 2. The food was very mediocre - only 1 vegetarian main course option ( a very average vegetarian lasagne, clearly not home-made), and the cumberland sausage wasn't particuarly great - cumberland sausage from Aldi tastes nicer.

GBAUFor the price we paid, the most expensive hotel on our holiday, Room with a mountain view! When I asked about this as we were on the street side, I was told, "There it is in the corridor opposite our room." We arrived wet on the C2C, no drying room, nor newspapers to aid with drying our boots,, unpacked all our gear to help dry it all out, only to find the shower didn't work. So had to repack everything and move to another room.

The breakfast was woefully inadequate for a the walk over the hills to Shap. Since this Inn is on the Coast to Coast walk, it is almost guaranteed that anyone using it is likely to be doing it (2 clients both walking on my visit). Similarly very few carbs with dinner. If not hiking fine but ...
