Seraph House, York

Location was good, easy to get to where we wanted to be. Clean, and host was good at communicating with us but there were some drawbacks to the property itself (see what I didn't like).

A bit sparse... No coffee in kitchen, no flatware, claimed they had a washer/dryer combo but did not really have dryer and was advised to put it on spin cycle for 5 hours or so... Not going to work when we had 4 loads of laundry to do. We ended up going to a local laundromat and our host offered to cover that cost so that's a plus. First bedroom mattress has big depression in the middle so not great in terms of comfort, and second bedroom had very small and low "kids beds" which were not ideal. The location and price was ok but like I said limited and sparse.

The location was good. When the hair dryer didn’t work and I messaged the host she replaced it quickly.

The beds were uncomfortable, as were the pillows. The kitchen wasn’t well equipped, only about 4 tiny coffee cups, no mugs. The living room had a sofa bed but no chairs so although the house says it sleeps 6, you could never accommodate 6 people comfortably. Only one toilet roll in the bathroom, no toiletries. Very basic.

Property very clean and beds comfy. Bath lovely. Good WIFI Handy to be able to add on parking for a small fee

Just bare floorboards throughout the property which was fine but made it quite noisy More mirrors would be nice No microwave Another couch in the living room would be nice.

The Location was excellent. It has everything you need & the bathroom was exceptional. Also lovely and warm =)

- The single beds were noisy. - Echoey & not particularly cosy - Lack of seating in the living room (there were four of us and only a small pull out sofa bed) - Small TV. We opted to watch the u20s 6nations on the Friday night but the TV was small. Could do with having one over the fireplace.

Beautifully curated house.

Lovely accomodation only 10 minutes walk from the city centre. Plenty of amenities in the area including supermarkets and a quirky antiques shop. Rooms were tastefully decorated - the bathroom in particular was wonderful with great water pressure and a lovely claw foot bath. Heating was easy to turn on and the beds were very comfortable.

There wasn’t anything to dislike about the property - my Aunty was a little disappointed there wasn’t complimentary tea but luckily she had her “emergency travel tea” 😅

Location was near the train station, parking outside the house. Lovely bathroom and kitchen.

Very basic, only a two seater pull out bed in sitting room not comfortable and no where for more than two people, had to sit in kitchen at all times. Single beds creaked all night and so near the floor.

Nice and clean and tidy

Couldn’t lick door from inside very easy, very poor lighting in bathroom, needed a few rugs and pictures to make it less echoey , curtains needed in bedroom and a blind in bathroom
