Moon Light- Sunrise Ella

Otree and the whole team made us a wonderful stay at his place. The rooms are so nice and directly located in the jungle. The surrounding is just amazing! The way to get there is a bit tough but totally worth it! We had delicious Sri Lankan breakfast and also the best dinner(s) you can imagine. We extended our stay there and will for sure come back somewhen. For all nature lovers who wants to be nearby Ella but not in the super touristy area we highly recommend to stay at Moon Light. 💯

I had a great time staying at Moonlight. From the time I arrived, the staff were very welcoming and attentive. They ensured that everything needed for a comfortable stay was catered for with unparalleled customer service. The food was also great, very meal was tasty and well prepared . Generally speaking, this was a great experience, the place was very calm and pleasing with a surrounding nature, not far away from town and I recommend this place to anyone seeking rest and pleasure during their holidays.

The staff was great! Especially Dolores, helped will eventing. And the view is beautiful also the breakfast 🍳

Hard to get to the property by car, some drivers won’t get you up stairs.

The location can be hard to get to but it is worth it :)

Secluded retreat in the middle of the jungle. Very private and far from noise or neighbours. Tucked away and surrounded by nature. Disconnected from all stress. Privately cooked meals, treehouse and outdoor adventures our children didn’t want to leave!

WiFi connection was fine, when we were able to login.

It's difficult to get there. But it's worth it. In the room it would be nice if there were added some nice lights next to the beds.

We absolutely loved it here. It’s about 15 mins outside Ella up a long track so it’s set on its own in the jungle. The rooms were clean and comfortable but it is the location that makes this place so special. We could watch monkeys and birds from our balcony and the views were spectacular. Dolores the host could not do enough for us. She made sure everything was perfect and that we had fabulous Sri Lankan food to eat. Breakfasts were a treat. My boys said this was their favourite place we stayed in our 3 week visit.

No aircon in the rooms which wasn’t a major issue as fans were provided

Very great accommodation if you are looking for a quiet place with lots of nature around. The views are amazing and the breakfast really good.

You can take a bus easily from the main road to Ella, but it does take a little bit of time and waiting. The street going to the accommodation is also really steep and narrow which is why not a lot of tuktuk drivers will go there or will charge extra. We did walk that 15 minutes most of the time.
