Very peaceful Most amazing view from the balcony and incredible bord songs to wake you up in the morning Owner so helpful who will do everything to make your stay memorable Great food

Remote place (no issue for us but something one might need to consider) : about 15/20 minutes tuk tuk drive from Ella’s centre

Hostess was very helpful, it was very peaceful and quiet. Views were lovely. Food was delicious.

Heat, no air conditioning, 30min drive to town (our fault for not understanding)

The place was serene and peaceful, nestled in the forest of Ella. The host, Dolores, and her staff were charming and very helpful. The food was excellent, especially Dolores' pancakes. Our kids had plenty of space to play and roam around. The rooms were spotless and spacious as well. We all had a wonderful time at Moonlight, Ella and look forward to returning soon. If you are looking for a peaceful stay surrounded by nature in Ella, I highly recommend Moonlight, Ella.

Road is a little adventure

We loved the peacefulness of the property. We were also the only ones there which added to the special time spent there. We were welcomed by Dolores as our driver was a bit stuck on the steep hill leading to the property. She led us up on foot and welcomed us with watermelon whilst she drove back down to our driver and collected all our luggage from him. What hospitality! She cooked us dinner even though we hadn’t booked it. She was very friendly and kind. We loved the early morning bird song. Just perfect experience.

Nothing really! Apart from the road leading up but that’s not their fault!

The location of Moonlight is deep in the tranquil, lush forest yet only a 5 minute walk to a bus stop on the main road to Ella, just 2kms south of Ravana Falls. The place is beautiful, calming and alive with birds whilst Dolores and her staff make every effort to accommodate and please their guests. The food is delicious, plentiful and very affordable. There is no menu but food options can always be discussed, are always home cooked with fresh ingredients and come in large portions! We had an amazing stay at Moonlight and will definitely return in a year or so to see how the coconut tree our son was given to plant has grown and to check on the welfare of the dogs and cows who added further great company to our stay.

Beautiful location in the hills You can visit the busy town but escape to the tranquility of this scenic spot Property is very well presented and comfortable Staff were excellent. Dolores the manager looked after us extremely well. Food was delicious and we felt very spoilt. Lots of wildlife to see, we breakfasted with two Hornbills on the terrace! And sat watching fire flies and bats in the evening from our veranda. We would visit again!

Beautiful property with big rooms

All was perfect

This is an amazingly beautiful place, unforgettable, right in the jungle, super quiet, peaceful, serene, wonderful views, walking distance to arcana waterfall and to the secret waterfall and a 20min drive from Ella. The rooms are huge, with balconies, very clean and comfortable. The host, Dolores, is perfect: thinking of every small detail, very considerate and friendly, very generous, dropped us to Ella twice, always available for any question or request. I joined her for a sunrise guided meditation which was amazing with all the birds singing all around. Last but not least, food here is soooo tasty and made partially from local ingredients they have on their land. Don’t miss this place and come for at least two nights as the road is tricky and you won’t want to leave!
