Clock Tower Retreat - Sea View Apartments in Morecambe

The apartment was lovely. Great location opposite the beach. Easy to find & check in with keybox not a host to greet us. Great facilities, comfy superking bed & sofa bed. All kitchen facilities etc. Also a power shower. Everything you could ask for really so will definitely go back !

Unfortunately we couldn't check in until after 3pm & checkout at 10am which is early ! The apartment was clean not to high standards though when a £50 cleaning fee is stated on booking confirmation. The oven grillpan & rack had been left dirty. Fridge & microwave not wiped out after use. Dirty smelly tea towel & sponge left out & crumbs over worktop. So we chose to eat out adding more cost to the weekend away. Seagull poo all over the balcony area & windows which didn't look very nice.

Brilliant communication with the owner. The place was lovely and clean and really comfortable. The location was great with the beachfront right there.

Great central location, close to bars, etc. Perfect for the sea front and the view from the apartment (flat 1) was exceptional!

The only issue was the smell as you enter the property (probably caused by the bins / recycling area). However the flats are upstairs, away from this and there is a door at the bottom of the stairs so you can close this. It's not horrendous but it's the only issue I can think of!

The unit was in a prime location on the waterfront with excellent views. There was everything we needed for our stay, and the bed was comfortable. When we arrived it was very warm and the host kindly sent over a fan which we really appreciated

The awful smell when you walk in the building permeates throughout the building. The unit was not clean, we washed everything before using and were really disappointed with that. It was not that it was only missing a deep clean but just a basic clean. For example there were placemats on the table but they had not been moved and under them it was dirty. There was an old cigarette but in the shag carpet. The windows at the front was notable to open but the others worked well.
