GBModern, well decorated hotel in Darjeeling. Most hotels in this town are nowhere near as nice as this one! Likely one of the most luxurious hotels in the town. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room comes with a very good TV which you can watch Netflix on. The room has a balcony giving you a great view of the town. The room comes with a Jacuzzi but the pluming struggles to supply it. There is a nice tea room on the top floor where you can try local teas in a beautiful atmosphere.
The hotel is a 20minute walk from the heart of Darjeeling, and some taxis struggle to find the location. The water pressure in the shower is weak. The geyser takes a long time to heat enough water. The ventillation in the room is not very good so odours from the bathroom permeate the room. The staff don't have any recommendations for local tour guides.

AUI didn't stay in this hotel, due to the unprofessionalism.I have booked through booking.com a family room with view balcony. It was mentioned on the Facilities mountain view and the pictures were provided. I have called the hotel 2 days before my stay confirming the booking. When I reached hotel, I have been provided with a corner dark room on their first floor, with no view I can only see a roof of a house. (The hotel reception is on the second floor) I have checked with the reception and manager, and their answer was all other family rooms are on the top floor with good view but they are sold out and this is the only option left for me.I have planned my holiday well ahead of time and booked this hotel 5 months back. This is totally false impression what the hotel advertise through booking.com, its a total harassment. The booking was cancelled and we got booked in a nearby 5 star hotel with much much better view and hospitality. I would never recommend Summit Groups hotels to anyone, because you may book something good and you will be provided with a worst accommodation.
