ARThe decoration was very nice. Also, it was well located, walkable to most of interested points. I didn't use it but kitchen looked comfortable and plenty of tools.
The staff was nonexistent. They just told me my room, the password and to choose any bed I wanted. Reading other reviews probably I am wrong, but I only saw one toilet and one shower, which was decidedly few for so much people. I assume there were more, but nobody show me the installations. The room was small for 6 beds, and I think it should have been ventilated as there was this smell when a place is closed too much time. All things I mentioned before I can understand and tolerate without any problems, but what I found unacceptable is that I stayed 2 nights and for some reason they 2nd day, when I arrived after been outside all the day, my original bed was no longer mine, my stuff had been moved without any care and there was another guy in my bed (wasn't his fault, obviously). I found this outrageous and had never experienced before any similar situation in any hostel. I think they need more organization.
CANothing
So this accommodation was a complete disaster. It was a long weekend in Korea and the property managed to overbook this accommodation 5 nights in a row. The owner did not reconcile the bookings between the two platforms he advertises on, and there were at least 8 people without beds the night I stayed. My booking was for two days but I left after one. The owner also knew before I arrived that day that he had overbooked the property, as this had already been going on for 3 nights before I showed up. Apparently the night before I arrived he didn't even show up to the accommodations until 1 AM to bring extra mattresses for the people who had no bed that night. Then everyone got to sleep together in the communal areas on both the first and second floor! Not to mention they lied about giving sheets pillowcases and towels, as none of the guests staying there (even the ones who had been there for many days already) had been given any. Even though they say online and also on the notice board that they provide these!! But instead everybody has to sleep with unwashed duvets and pillows, with only one of those elastic mattress protectors between your body and the literal mattress. Also worth noting, the shower on the second floor was leaking through the roof into the dining room while I was trying to eat breakfast. What a disaster of a hostel. Lastly, the owner refused to cancel my booking to give me a refund, even though he was the one who messed up and overbooked his property, not to mention he did not warn anybody arriving to jeonju that this was the case. There is no way he was unaware of the situation occurring on his property at that point, and it is completely inexcusable that this occurred for even one night, never mind for 5 nights in a row. Instead of cancelling my booking immediately after I asked him to, he suggested that I be the one to cancel, but if I did so then I would not be able to leave my honest review on his listing and also booking.
AUThe location is very central, allowing you to easily walk to the tourist attractions. There was a space where you could get ready without disturbing others in the room.
Little attention from the staff, they only showed me where the room was but they didn't show me the shared areas I could access and other important things. The bathroom layout is not the most adequate.
KRThey had free water
They over booked the place four times over. We paided for a room of four people, there were ten!!! (10+ if you include people that were sleeping in the hallways!) Also the beds felt like they have never been cleaned, ever. A layer of filth that laid on it. Great location, expect a place to stay but not a bed nor an second of privacy
GBReally close to the hanok village, so convenient. The hostel was clean, really comfortable and had a lovely calm and friendly vibe
It wasn’t very social
GBWe really enjoyed our stay here, and found this accommodation to be very good value. The manager and staff were all very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Great location, easy to walk to most things of interest. Overall, this place is really good value for money.
PHI liked that it was clean, and very near the main tourist area, as you can walk to the hanok village and the traditional market. I also liked that there was a garden where you could sit when it was sunny outside.
I wasn’t able to find it at once, because there was a barrier in the parking lot, but I have already informed the owner about it so that they could include in their check-in reminder/procedure.
GBThe property was very cute and nicely decorated, with lots of bathrooms, comfy beds and friendly staff! Great location as well as the hanok village is about a 10 min walk away.
The downstairs bathroom lock was broken, but I think the staff are going to fix it.
USIt was very affordable and clean, located right near the hanok village. highly recommend to any solo travelers
