Everything was perfect: the incredible kind hosts, the provided infrastructure, the location. This was the best accomodation in my whole Sri Lanka itinerary.

The cleanest place ever! The owners are super nice and treat you like family from the moment you walk in! The rooms are new and spacious. Came for 3 days, stayed for two weeks! ☺️

This family run homestay has it all. Friendly greetings complete with an ice cold coconut and cake from the family bakery on arrival. The room was excellent. High wooden ceiling, large comfortable bed and spacious bathroom as well as a choice of fan or AC that really worked. The kitchen area on your level has gas to cook , a fridge and washing machine. A balcony overlooks a quiet street and the locals are friendly. Everything is squeaky clean and well presented. The property has complimentary bikes for trips to the beach or nearby cafes and hires scooters for trips further afield. The best part is the true warmth and connections made with the family. Shared conversations and laughter. By far our best stay in Sri Lanka. Do yourself a favour and check it out for yourself.

We’ve been traveling around Sri Lanka for five months, and this is without a doubt the best place we’ve stayed. From the very beginning, we were met with such warmth and generosity. When we wanted to extend our stay by two extra days, they upgraded our room at no additional cost. That really says a lot about how they run this place. During our stay, we were also treated to fresh coconuts, delicious pastries from their own bakery (twice!), and refreshing watermelon juice – all complimentary. It’s the small details that make the biggest difference, and they truly go above and beyond here. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully designed – and having a washing machine in the room felt like such a luxury. The staff are some of the kindest people we’ve met on our entire trip. You genuinely feel seen and taken care of. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would. A truly special place that we would recommend to everyone.

Everything, and we mean everything. The room, the location, the people. This place exceeded every expectation we had. Our room, bathroom, and balcony were spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped. Washing machine, ample plugs, brand new AC, a ventilator, a huge comfortable bed, a proper wardrobe. We had everything we could possibly need. We genuinely could have stayed for a month without missing a thing. The bikes were a lovely touch: well-maintained, always available (and there are many of them), and we used them every single day to ride to the beach, restaurants, and cafes. The location made all of this effortless. Everything we had marked on our travel map was right there. But what made this stay truly special was the people. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such genuine warmth. They kept checking in on us, brought us snacks, and at one point even helped push our rented tuktuk so we wouldn’t stress about maneuvering it. That kind of thoughtfulness you just don’t forget. 100% recommend Kian’s place. We cannot wait to come back, and next time we are staying much longer.

Nothing! It was perfect!

Wow! It's difficult to find things that haven't already been said. The accommodation is spacious, well planned out and incredibly well presented. The bed came with a single sheet cover which was great at night as we could sleep with only the fan on. The kitchen is shared with one other apartment and has a fridge and washing machine. Each apartment has its own balcony with fantastic views. The owner, his wife and his brother all spoke very good English, were very helpful and we had lots of really good conversations. The apartment is well positioned in easy walking distance from the main road which has a Bank, Cargill supermarket, bakery and fruit and vegetables. It's also an easy walk to Madiha Beach where there is some great snorkelling to be had with turtles and reef fish (just watch out for the sea urchins). Places to eat out at were variable with many catering for a more westernised surf crowd, but we had very good meals at Zephyr and the Swell Shack.

It's difficult to think of anything, but one suggestion would be to have the name on the building or to send out a photo of the outside as we had a bit of difficulty finding it when we first arrived.

Both the bedroom and bathroom is very spacious. The high ceiling, the high quality furniture and kitchen made it stand out compared to all other places I stayed in while in Sri Lanka. Moreover the family that are hosting are very nice and helpful people.

Great, European standards tho it’s a Sri Lankan family buissness.

Después de haber viajado por Sri Lanka 20 días, puedo afirmar que este es el mejor guesthouse en el que he estado! Habitación espaciosa, bonita, muy limpia, con baño privado y cocina, nevera y lavadora disponible a compartir con otros huéspedes. El casero y su familia son encantadores, tienen bicis para sus huéspedes de uso gratuito y alquilan scooter a precio local. Sin duda, recomendable al 100% para pasar unos días por el sur, cerca de la playa en un lugar tranquilo a las afueras de Mirissa.
