Lamb Shepherd Hut

The picture on the website looked great and all the facilities. The most exciting think we looked forward to was the hot tub and it was dirty inside no water, there was a fire pit next to the hut but no logs so we was called. The lady said to give her 30 min to finish was she have started and she will come back to show us around, we waited for 1 h and she didn’t show up so I couldn’t even ask about the hot tub, plus we had her dog right next to us sitting and barking all that time, don’t get me wrong I love dogs and I had my dog with us but he don’t bark, it was our 7 year anniversary weekend and we wanted to have a lovely time just us, it was our first time in a long time without the kids, we got really disappointed and just left.

Amazing place to say. Massive play area/field where the kids and dogs can run in. Safe and secluded. Lots of animals to see, staff so friendly and relaxed. We stayed in the lamb shepards hut and it has a hot tub that you need to stoke a fire for so advise get a fire going asap to get water up to temp but we enjoyed it cool. Worth taking some coal and fire starters etc with you for this, wood is provided. Separate toilet and a toilet/shower room. Communal kitchen area with large fridge to store your food. Would definitely book again!

My boys loved it here as there are plenty of animals and space to run around. The beds were comfy enough and the hut is decorated nicely. We came straight from the beach so we're able to get straight in the shower and freshen up. The views are lovely. This place would be incredible with just a freshen up and more lighting, maybe some animal feed available so the kids could feed the animals at an added price.

The hot tub was an extra £25 to use which isn't stated in the booking and takes 4 hrs to heat so that wasn't an option for us. It is very dark at night so if you are bringing in things from the car to the hut you have a bit of a step up which is hard to see. The kitchen area isn't very clean so breakfast wasn't an option in the morning. We didn't bother to unpack as there was no room in the hut so I repacked our stuff outside which was not an issue. There was no welcome pack or information about any local takeaways or restaurants and I had no phone signal which I don't blame the camp for just making this quite stressful when needing to arrange meals.

A magical place, I loved it as much as the kids. Staff are friendly and the animals are adorable. Short drive away from the beach and the dock.

Loved all the animals particularly the donkeys and the dog. Slept beautifully. Bed very comfortable. No TV so played games with grandchildren in evening

NOTHING DISGUSTING AND UNHYGIENIC.

Well where you start. False advertising no hot tub included in price we paid. Communal disgusting toilet and kitchen. Only 3 beds for 4 people then given a dirty camp bed with a disgusting thin so called mattress. Filthy bedding. Mouldy chairs in accommodation. Communal kitchen was disgusting and unhygienic. Weeks out of date food left in fridge, Oven and kettle was unhygienic. Animal faeces all over the grounds. Ground un kept. Children's outside play area dangerous and filthy. Dogs of owners roaming free doing their mess wherever they like, going into accommodation rooms. Dead goat next to hut with their baby lieing next to them and flies around them. 😢. Unapproachable owners. We were left traumatised, out of pocket and no where to stay for the night. Un stayable accommodation.
