Lamb Shepherd Hut

Unsafe for Children. We booked into the lamb field hut with hot tub - hot tub was empty, steps leading to hut were very steep and unsafe for children without support or adult present. My son is 1 and was able to open the door of the hut which led straight to the unsafe steps, we were told we would not have a key to lock the door meaning safety for my son was not a priority for them. The fence was electric surrounding the goats which were in the same field as the hut we were staying in meaning if my son was to play in the area provided by our hut, he was at risk of electrocution. The dog on the property was allowed to sleep beneath the stairs of the hut we were placed in, potential danger being that if my son was to leave the hut during the night while we slept then he was at risk being as its dark and the dog does not know us. We were left waiting after ringing the contact numbers provided 11 times and then waiting another 20 minutes on returning to the property after visiting Tenby while the facilitator was walking around the main house on the phone and smoking, knowing we were at the door waiting to be placed and shown around.

I don't know where to start. The place with filthy. Absolutely filthy. The field was covered in animal poo, which can be expected to an extent as there are donkeys etc there. My biggest issue was with the common areas, outside of the big field with animals, they were absolutely covered in dog poo and the place smelled so bad of poo. I had my one year old son and I couldn't put him on the floor to crawl around as a result. I carried him for the whole hour I lasted. the grass verge that linked the common areas (toilet, kitchen, kids play area etc) ..I counted at least 12 piles of dog poo. The final straw was when my daughter ran bare foot through it before I had a chance to tell her not to walk on the grass. At that point, and having only lasted an hour, we packed up and left. A very very disappointing experience, particularly for my son as it was his 8th birthday. UPDATE: The owner has since left a response to my review saying it's fake. It is not. Look thought the reviews, plenty have said the same thing with others also refusing to stay. Why would I find a random place in Pembrokeshire to leave a fake review? My booking was for 10th July in the hut with the hot tub under the name Sarah. If you or a volunteer didn't notice, the hut remained empty because we left! We spoke to a man who was working there (a 'volunteer' and not paid staff? very odd) and who said he would get us an extra bed because we had booked for four people and there were only three beds. He said he was looking after the place as presumably the owners were not there. The owners update to my review is a complete lie: There is a large grass area next to the hut with a hot tub. You can even see it in some review pictures! They said there is no dog poo, but they were not even there and there were several unleashed dogs running around - how would they know. The grass was covered in it! I'm in the process of getting a refund through booking.com.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lamb Shepherd's Hut. The wood fired hot tub was amazing. Great location for St. Govan's Chapel, Bosherston Lily Ponds, Pembroke Castle.

First off, the postcode provided led us on a wild goose chase, completely off the mark. After several frustrating attempts to reach out for help, we had to rely on a local garage for directions. It turns out we were about 6-7 minutes away from the actual location, which is simply unacceptable. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a lady who asked if we were checking in. After confirming our booking, we were left waiting outside while she tended to grooming a dog. I had previously mentioned that I was traveling with my autistic son, and after a long day of travel since 3 AM, left standing outside was far from ideal. Eventually, a man came out to guide us to our hut. To our dismay, we discovered the area was in disarray, with animal poop scattered around. His suggestion to “kick the stones on top of the poop” was not only unhelpful but also quite off-putting. We had booked the hut specifically for the hot tub, only to learn we would need to pay an additional £25 for wood, and it would take 5-6 hours to heat up. This crucial detail was nowhere to be found on the booking page, which was misleading. When we finally saw the hut, it was in an unacceptable state. There were brown stains on the duvet and the overall cleanliness was appalling—far from what anyone would consider suitable for guests. Faced with such conditions, we made the decision to seek alternative accommodation, as we simply could not stay there. Regrettably, the hosts offered no alternatives or even a simple apology for the situation. Their silence only added to our frustration. This experience was far from what we had hoped for, and I cannot recommend this place based on our visit.

This was a totally wronge booking for me..I am handicap and old. Why do you suggest such places.. I had to find somewhere els.I would like my money back..
