Lamb Shepherd Hut

Its a lovely place. Sadly we never met the person actually running it, just a friend who did the work for her and had a nice chat with us. Lovely animals too. Nice modern bathroom, although it could do with more frequent cleaning- it was quite dusty. Nice touches everywhere- the details just need to be a bit better looked after in our opinion.

When booking accomodation with the hot tub we thought the use of the hot tub was included in the price but this was not the case. We still had it fired up for an extra £25. Communication about wanting to use it would have also been great in an email after booking- after all it takes some hours to heat the water up by woodburner which I was not aware of. It was still a bit chilly when we used it around 9pm. It would have been the perfect temperature for another dip in the morning- sadly it rained and we had no opportunity to do so.

Lovely little farm great for families lots of animals to feed. Nice little kitchen area with tea and coffee and cereals. Fire pit area childs play area and you can take your dog.

Shared toilet facilities but this is on the description so just a personal preference not a criticism.

The hosts were wonderful. This would be a child’s paradise.

The beds were lumpy. Also the shared kitchen and bathrooms would be a challenge if all 4 huts and tent were full. We were alone for a night .

The location was so quiet and peaceful. The cabin was clean and very cosy. The facilities for the kids were great. Amazing hut with craft table, book area, table top football etc. Nice area to cook in. We were sad to leave and will definitely come back

What a fantastic place to stay. Hot tub was amazing too very hot indeed. Host and animsls were fantastic. Meet some lovely people too 💕

Liked the animals nearby, clean facilities, owner was really nice and friendly despite a late check in and the fire pit.

No lock on the door to hut and shower lock was broken.

Do not book under any circumstances. Dirty community kitchen Childrens play area unsafe, full of poo, which can also be found in kitchen. Indoor play area, full of mould on cuddly toys and bedding. Broken toys. Paid extra for hot tub, does not work. Owner said it takes 5hrs to warm. 24hrs later Luke warm on top, freezing at bottom, no pump to circulate. Worse holiday ever: No health and safety No hygiene Dogs let lose, really friendly, so friendly stole my daughters food out of her hands. 4 families there, all contacting booking agencies Complete waste of money

I really enjoyed the peace and quiet and my four-year-old loved all the animals. He didn’t want to leave. The owner was extremely helpful and kind and nothing seem to be too much trouble.

It wasn’t exactly how I thought it was going to be from the pictures I saw on Booking.com. It was all very clean but in some parts a little lacking some TLC. A part of the child’s play area was broken and was really unsafe but I just kept my son away from my area. I booked it for me, my partner my 17-year-old niece and my four-year-old son not quite sure where we would’ve all slept as there was one double bed and one very narrow single bed thankfully my partner didn’t come.
