Dee Lodge

Very modern and spacious and clean. The hot tub was lovely and the setting was very private. The bed was so comfortable!!

It lacked a few items that would have been useful. There was no hand soap, no sponge for washing up, no tea spoons and no sharp knife for cooking.

The Netflix didn’t work due to no WiFi, there was a rat running around under the cabin and near the hot tub

Loved the location and having the hot tub to come back to and relax in after a day exploring. Easy walk along canal to Llangollen for cafes, bars and shops. We had afternoon tea on a canal boat trip and visited Plas Newyd House which was really interesting. There is parking at the mini lodge which is very handy. The bed was reasonably comfy (but only accessible from one side so one person had to climb over the other if they needed to get up in the night). The place is generally nicely decorated.

The main problem was that the bathroom was very tight space wise and my partner was actually unable to get in to the shower because the door didn’t open very wide. When I used the shower I couldn’t close the door the whole way and so water leaked out on to the floor a bit. The floor itself seemed very spongy in the bathroom so I think other people have had this problem as well. The other issue was that I had a bad back at the time of our visit and the fact that there are no proper chairs to sit on in the lodge was a bit of an issue because of this. We also couldn’t get the internet to work. We managed to watch basic TV but couldn’t change channel (possibly remote needed new batteries) and no Netflix due to internet issue. There was also only one wine glass and one other type of glass in the property.

Perfect for our night away in Llangollen. We wish we had stayed longer! Mini lodge was very modern, clean and warm. Hot tub was perfect (again clean and ready for our arrival). Owner was lovely and informative of the town which is only a 10 minute walk away over the canal. We had the best time and will definitely be back in future!

The lodge- it was more luxurious than I expected. Also easy to walk to the pubs and shops and lovely walking down the canal.

The picture on the website of the view in no way matched the view we had of just trees and was disappointing as that’s why we booked it. The hot tub could do with a stand for the lid to slide it on and off more easily as it was very heavy to do.

Everything was amazing and clean and absolutely beautiful and the hot tub was a great add to it
