Thirlmere 4 Luxury Lodge at White Cross Bay Windermere

Coffee machine available, comfy and clean lounge, attractive decor, . Parking was easy.

The washing machine was inoperable. Wifi constantly dropped out. The contact person not helpful with Wifi issues. Toilet seats were loose and dangerous. . The door code box was broken.

Very clean and comfortable with accommodating hostess. And excellent facilities. Excellent location. Loved every minute of our stay!

Just some very small issues, loose toilet seats in both bathrooms , support handle in bath Brocken , blind in single beds room broken, no vacuum cleaner, access key safe was not working, contacted the owner to let us into the lodge, otherwise excellent stay

Beautiful lodge with view of the mountains and just up from the waters edge slipway ( ideal for launching our canoes!) Everything was beautifully laid out and standards were high throughout. Great utility area for your wet things/ shoes so kept the lodge looking clean. Kitchen facilities very good too with all the things you would need on hand. Cushions for the outside chairs were great too and allowed us to sit comfortably outside most evenings. Decking fence ideal as was dark so didn’t get the usual fishbowl feel and no one could see onto the deck if sitting down.

We had seen a few reviews mentioning the bed was uncomfortable and I would agree it wasn’t perfect but I slept well in general / my partner found it tougher to sleep in. It’s not a huge criticism but feel that they should just release the bed and mattress for something better quality. WiFi also was a bit in and out - but it always is in the Lake District. I used my 4g rather than the WiFi and was no issue. If you had kids etc then this may cause more issues however we didn’t have too much bother. No spa - there were so many with one and was a shame - however more of an opportunity for the hosts than a negative for the stay.

Very clean and modern accommodation with new furnishings and appliances. Location was also decent with direct access to Windermere lake.

WiFi was very slow and sometimes unusable. Washing Machine did not work and wasn’t connected to water supply despite being advertised in posting. Mattress in master room was poor quality and springs were protruding making it uncomfortable. This property is on a holiday park with lots of other similar properties, we would have preferred more privacy. Other properties has BBQs and hot tubs which would have been nice additions.

We had a lovely stay for 3 nights. Every aspect of the lodge was exceptional from cleanliness to convenience. We would absolutely recommend this property for a great base to explore the Lake District. We will hopefully get a chance to return again next year.

There really was nothing that could be improved in my opinion.
