Very friendly bar staff Excellent Breakfast

Fire doors slamming shut when people left their rooms, especially work people leaving early waking us up. Toilet hadn't been cleaned properly when we got in our room

Easy to get to, nice lay out and very comfortable. Friendly staff and great great value for money.

Clean and friendly

Shocked to learn on arrival that although we’ve booked a room in a pub, the bar and restaurant are closed. This should be advertised before booking. Other guests felt the same.

All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was freshly cooked using great produce and very generous portions.

Beautiful well designed pub and guest rooms. We stayed in the superior room with the high ceiling. It was a very hot day and the owners had kindly put a fan in the room without us asking which was wonderful. Room was clean and well maintained. Great value for a pub room. Landlord was lovely and all the staff great. Breakfast was excellent quality and generous in size. Great coffee at breakfast.

Do note if you arrive in a Sunday the pub closes at 5pm. I really hate the sound of clocks ticking and the large clock in the bedroom would have kept me awake but the fan noise managed to drown it out which was great. Great accommodation otherwise.

The food (was standout) and the sunny beer garden with the friendly helpful staff were an added bonus.

Not much to dislike, I didn’t sleep well may be the heat , may be the bed, you can hear other guests come and go especially with a window open. I was disappointed to miss breakfast as it’s 8:30am start and knowing how good the food is I just know it would have been great! But I had danishes (and a nice selection at that) left by the door in the morning, nice touch!

The location to my job

They don’t tell you that breakfast is not until 8.30am you can have a continental breakfast but all your given is a ham roll left outside your room but no drink ie orange juice etc. The carpet was not fitted outside the shower room so easy to trip over. There was dirty underwear left in the bedside table when I went to put something into the drawer. The food was not good I went for the gammon and it was so tough I thought he cooked his shoe sole. The wine was very expensive £9 for one glass when you could buy a bottle from the shop a lot cheaper and most hotels average price is about £4-£5 per glass. Wasn’t informed where to leave the room key so left in the room before I left.
