Lovely quintessential Pub, we chose it for that reason. Friendly locals too

There was no free Beer on a Friday ! 😅😅😅😅

The location was idilic with fantastic views over the surrounding countryside. The food ,both breakfast and the evening meal were first class especially the poached eggs

There was nothing we did not like but our room would benefit with bedside cabinet or somewhere to rest a watch or a glass of water

Perfect location for our 2 day cycling trip in the Western Fells. Very friendly pub with really good food - evening meals and breakfasts were generous and tasty.

good sized portions, friendly staff, easy to find, good shower. had everything we needed.

the foam type pillows (there were softer ones in the wardrobe but we didn't find them in time)

Lovely local pub which serves the community. Friendly staff and good food. Would definitely stay again.
