Roberosia - Holiday Home

From the moment of arrival Saliya goes the extra courtesy of a cool towel and a traditional refreshing mandarin drink. His wife Jayangani is very talented and is an incredible cook as well. She was so kind to make me something special with my gluten and coconut allergy. (Not easy) The room was a dream to wake up in with floor to ceiling windows towards the trees. The hose is cool and modern. They were responsive and helpful. Very heart centered family. Had the pleasure to meet their daughter, Sahani as well. Treated myself on this homestay and worth it. Luxury for me. Highly recommend for the Solo traveler. ✨💛✨

We got to stay three nights at Robeirosa. The house is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and well tempered even without the AC. It is located on the edge of the city, which means you will need a TukTuk to get to Kandy Central, but this also means it is quiet and relaxed. We had a lovely breakfast each morning, and Saliya and his family really went above and beyond for us - helped with arranging a driver and train tickets and generally were there for all our questions. We would definitely come back! We also used this as the basis for trips to Kandy and also Sigiriya and it was a good base location for that.

This was really not an issue for us but I want to warn you still: be aware that this location needs a tuktuk ride to get anywhere in the city. Also at 5am there is always religious chants to be heard. Also not unpleasant but it woke us up.

Absolutely stunning property up in the hills outside Kandy. Very peaceful compared to the hustle and bustle of the city. Waking up to the sound of birds and monkeys was idyllic. The husband and wife team here were fantastic, so friendly and welcoming. We were greeted with cold wash clothes and fresh fruit juice and the breakfast the following morning was authentic and delicious. Massive room with a big and comfortable bed and great showerroom with hot and powerful water! The communal rooms were also stunning and spacious.

The drawback of the peaceful location as we didn't have our own transport meant that we did have a little difficulty in sourcing a tuk tuk or taxi to come up to us. The first day we weren't in a rush and just sat outside taking in the surroundings for about 30 mins until we managed to get one. The following morning we were having difficulty again and had a deadline due to getting the train. The hosts tried to help us source a taxi but when they couldn't either they kindly took us themselves to the train station. Not a reason not to stay and enjoy the stunning property and the loveliest of hosts but just be relaxed about getting a tuk tuk

Fantastic stay. What made it special was our hosts, who were exceptionally nice and helpful, happy to chat and gives us advice. However the rest was pretty much perfect, too: - The house itself is very, very comfortable, and fitted to a high standard. The rooms are huge with high ceilings, full of light with floor-to-ceiling windows. It is perfectly clean and newly refurbished. - It is located slightly out of the city centre, in a very green and quiet area - very peaceful. Having breakfast in the first floor looking into the treetops was magic Thanks a lot for your hospitality, really!

The owner Saliya and his daughter Sahani gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived around 9 pm. The room was very spacious, clean, new and beautiful. The house is very spacious with lots of sunlight and balconies, you can definitely feel the good vibes. The location is really good, calm and close to the center. The breakfast was tasty and Sahani made sure that we had everything we needed. We would definitely book again at Roberosia on our next trip to kandy and we highly recommend this place.

It’s a beautiful house and the people that take care of the guests are so friendly. There are facilities to wash clothes and a kettle in the room with tea and coffee. We were welcomed with cold towels which was a nice touch. Aircon is good bed comfy and hot shower has great pressure. Owned by a family and they are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was beautiful.

It’s out in the hills which if you want central might be an issue but it’s 500 for a tuk tuk to the centre. It means it’s quiet and easy to relax here.

Although the Roberosia is spacious and spectacular it is also a very comfortable and peaceful place to be!

Lovely people own and run this new & modern b&b. Very big room.

Bed was a little too hard for us and although it's lovely to have big windows in the room, only having net curtains is not sufficient, so we woke up at dawn every morning. A fridge in the room would be handy.

My partner and I stayed here and it was a fantastic stay. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. I would highly recommend. Thanks!
