Monarchs Quay Arena Apartments by Happy Days

Lots of contact via WhatsApp to check arrival times etc and then to make sure everything was okay whilst we were there. Also asking if we needed top ups of anything such as toilet roll etc.

Location was great for the arena and docks

Kitchen very basic accessories - no tea towel, no coffee maker or equivalent. One of the beds I falling to pieces. 2 of the tvs don’t connect to the internet and so not usable as no aerial connection either. One of the windows doesn’t work and given the extreme heat and floor to ceiling windows the flat was unbearably hot - I don’t sleep. One of the blinds was broken and non of the blinds fully cover the windows so the bedrooms are not dark

near to city centre and exhibition centre

Great location, quite area and really close to the ACC, clean apartment and good value for money. Provides towels and toilettaires which was a nice touch

Well, first of all, the the bathroom flush wasn't working properly and will need to push really hard and multiple times to get water running, but this wasn't a major disappointment. The apartment on Booking.com comes under Air conditioned filter but it doesn't come with AC, this might be confusing. There was only one fan and the staff failed to provide another one when requested. Customer service responds to whatsapp message but not to calls so try not to call. I guess if not for the fan thing, I would have been very satisfied as it is a good value for money

No sofa bed, no hot water, TV didn’t work, dirty fridge, badly marked walls, pillows were paper thin.

Location close to venue and the fact flat has 2 bathrooms

The flat was so dirty that I felt my shoes glueing to the floor in the kitchen. Kitchen was disgustingly, I was disgusted to seat. Toilet bowl dirty. I asked to be moved immediately. It took them a while. Booking.com customer services are useless. Next flat better but kitchen not up for standards, no cutters, no washing liquid. I would not stay again unless people don’t care about somewhere being dirty. For the price it’s ok but still u would want a clean place

Loved the area down at the Docks but definitely not what wee expected off the side views car parks everywhere.

It really is a lovely place but! need to pay more attention to the cleaning things, The kitchen area was definitely not clean . Bed mattresses both are very badly stained Floors dirty definitely had not! been brushed. The bed pillow was ridiculously thin as well,window blind dirty as well ,sorry but the list goes on. 🫣 We had no hot water for the two days we were there and had to stay in for them to come as well. So sorry to say it was a very stressful time . This was supposed to be a stressful time away with my husband as he has been ill .🫣 Sad really it's a lovely place but definitely not the right location You really need to explain better in your advertising that you're surrounded with car parks definitely no views . Sorry to go on but you did ask and I have been truthful with every word. Just to let you know I work in this industry as we'll and do know what people expect. Thank you .
