Monarchs Quay Arena Apartments by Happy Days

Staff and communication were absolutely amazing. Location was perfect for our visit to the exhibition centre and only a 10 minute walk to the coty6.

I still havnt received my deposit 3 weeks on from my stay

The Location

Broken blinds in all the rooms meaning no privacy Sheets still had hairs on them!! Floors were not cleaned properly, you could see where someone had spilt their drink from the previous visit. Walls were all scuffed with black marks and bedroom floors had stains Bed linen was thread bare and pillows had no support. Bath panel for getting inside the plumbing kept falling off every time you closed the bathroom door. Plates on table were filthy too!!

It was a very cosy apartment. Pictures I had previously seen showed two beds in the same room, however upon arrival (I was with my mum), we were pleasantly surprised to see there were two separate bedrooms for us to have each (she snores and I’m a light sleeper so I was dreading having to share a room with her - the two separate bedrooms was perfect for us!). Everything was laid out nicely and very tidy. My mum loved it so much she’s decided that when she retires she’s going to look for an apartment just like it to live in.

Very limited amount of mugs. There were only three when we were there and they were quite small in size (mum’s only negative opinion). Also, we are both 5 foot 3 and a half, and the toilets were on the wall rather than on the floor, which meant that I had to heft my way up onto the toilet and my tippy toes were the only things touching the floor. I only see this as a negative because I am a big girl, and whenever I would settle my weight onto the toilet it would creak slightly, so I had to balance myself carefully whenever I used the toilet.

Location was fantastic walking distance of restaurants bars and shopping

If anything the bed mattresses were a little lumpy

It closeness to the m and s arena.

It was filthy, we had no towels till saturday afternoon. If youre going, take wipes, antiseptic and clean everything you will eat off. For the price for 2 nights it was not value for money.

Aparment was not cleaned at all / we checked out right away and had to find another hotel. Request for refund was not answered until today!!!!
