Relax @ Southfield

Excellent location to stay after celebrating graduation at Teesside University with family & friends. Beds were really comfortable and everywhere was clean. Rooms had lots of space.

A couple of minor maintainence issues. Room 2 the front of key lock had been pulled from wall - shower doors not aligned either. Room 1 missing a bin & wooden planks on floor. Though none of this negatively impacted stay, just things to mention.

Close to town

No batteries in the remote for the TV. The shower doors didn't fit and kept falling off, one of them hitting me. I had to get my partner to hold them in place whilst i showered. 2 of the towels were filthy. Not enough toilet roll. 1 mug in the kitchen to use. The room hadn't been hoovered and the noise from room 1 (possibly the host?) went on until about 4am. The smell of body odour in the corridor was so strong it took your breath away. I messaged and text the host and got no reply on either platform.

The wrong key had been left in the key box for room 3, however we called staff and they were extremely helpful & got us into the room fairly quickly.

Key to the outside door worked fine.

The room key provided was not the correct one for the door on the allocated room so I was unable to access the room. The host asked me to cancel the booking but the booking I made did not have the cancellation option. Currently, I have paid for 3 nights but have not had a refund. I made an attempt to contact booking.com but the AI interface does not seem to have resulted in any action.
