Honey Horsefield Grade ll Cottage

Location

Poor communication. Fridge door handle missing. Bath wasn't clean. Dribble of washing up liquid, no cloth or brush. Living room lighting awful, wobbly dining chairs, stained sofa upstairs, no corkscrew.

The cottage is very picturesque, we loved the location and the garden. It was beautifully clean. The beds were nicely made up and comfortable.

The chairs around the dining table were damaged and unsafe, cupboards in the kitchen were damaged the day bed in the lounge was too large and did not fit with the other furniture. It was also difficult to sit on as the slats moved.

Classic thatched Suffolk cottage. Quirky and quaint, with lots of exposed beams.

The concept - thatched cottage, countryside surroundings & ambience. Thoughtful host in leaving a very nice welcome tray in the kitchen.

Our first view of the cottage was the very untidy garden with some fences that were in need of repair as they had fallen down. The furnishings were disappointing. The day bed made the sitting area very cramped, there was light bulb missing and the fireplace could not be used. We didn't find instructions for any of the appliances which would have been useful as the TV had been set up in a foreign language. The bedroom was lacking bedside tables and there was only one bedside lamp which was on the floor. As the bathroom is on the ground floor, it should be noted that this may not be suitable for those with mobility problems. Although we were booked for 3 nights we left after one as we just didn't feel comfortable.
