Modern Studio in Newport City Centre Free Parking & WiFi Sleeps 2

Proximity to town was good.

Could have done with a tea towel. Need a shelf in the bathroom and really didn’t like no toilet seat lid. We found sweets under the bed, so hadn’t been cleaned under there.

Good location. Lovely and clean.

The keys were easy to get. Property was clean and tidy. Location was ok.

The photos of the apartment and the description said there was an oven, a stove top and cooking could be done within the property. I chose this property for this reason and we brought our own food to cook there after a long drive. When we arrived there was no cooker or stove top, only a microwave which wasn't big enough or versatile enough for us to cook the food we had brought with us. I rang the owners (in case I was missing something and the oven was in a different place or something), they didn't reply. Later on they sent me a message to say it wasn't safe to cook in the property, no explanation of what this meant or whether it was actually safe to stay there. I messaged them to ask what they meant and they didn't reply. It was late and I had no option but to order a take away and stay in the property and hope it was safe enough for us to stay there. On our return home I asked Booking.com to reimburse us for the extra money spent on food, they contacted the owners who refused to compensate as we continued to stay in the property that evening, I am not quite sure what we were supposed to do, had we left we would have had to stay in the car! Communication with the owners before we got there was efficient but after our arrival they basically ignored us and they certainly hadn't told us that we couldn't cook there. The advert said there was parking with the property but on the day we arrived we were told parking is on the street wherever we can find a space and owners cannot reserve a space. We had to park 2 streets away as the road was full outside. Although this wasn't necessarily a problem it wasn't an accurate description of what we were expecting based on the advert. Don't trust what you see or what you read about this property and don't expect Booking.com to resolve anything on your behalf basically!

Nous avons été déçus par l'absence de plaque de cuisson et du four!! Alors que c'était précisé dans le descriptif que ces 2 équipements seraient présents.

It was very very hot due to the weather had almost caused a greenhouse effect. Although there was a fan inside there wasn't much air as the garden is within high walls meaning no breeze was coming in and the door opened onto the main road so wasn't suitable to keep open.
