Spacious 4 bed family cottage in parkland setting

We really enjoyed our stay and loved how much land there was to explore. It was quiet and relaxing. The beds were comfy and it was very clean. There was more than enough of everything in the kitchen, such as cups and plates and cooking utensils. The downstairs wet room certainly made life easier for the great grandparents. We would definitely recommend and would love to come back. Great location to explore York too.

It didn’t have a microwave which wasn’t a massive issue but we expected one in such a big kitchen, the WiFi didn’t stretch to outside and you couldn’t all get round the tv as there was only 4 seats (yet the house hosts 8). We had to move sofas etc to accommodate. Again it’s not that much of a big deal but it could have been laid out slightly better to avoid us doing this.

Everything exceeded our expectations, the hot tub and grounds were fantastic. The kitchen area was a perfect hub for the family to get together. There was so much space for the dog, great location, super comfy beds and all with en suite bathrooms! The owners had thought of everything and the complimentary welcome back was delightful!

The TV area was a bit too small, couldn’t all watch TV at the same time, would’ve been better to have the TV on the right side of the house where the 3 bigger sofas are.

Hot tub and the garden all was very nice

Huge, light, modern, very social kitchen space with great views out to the beautiful surroundings. All four bedrooms have very comfortable beds and their own ensuite. Plenty of utensils, crockery, cutlery et cetera. Everywhere was very clean. Huge tv with apps. Outside space is exceptional, especially for the children who loved the climbing frame and woodland. Hot tub is large and situated in a lovely spacious outdoor area. The market town of Pocklington is close by and has interesting little shops and cafes. Also Burnby Hall Gardens is well worth a stroll - has a playground and cafe. Allerthorpe water park is also close for water sport’s although we ran out of time to visit.

Difficult to all sit together (eight people) in the lounge area - 3 two seater sofas. Also, we wanted to watch a film together but only one sofa by the TV. We did manage by moving furniture. Easy to find instructions for hot tub and local information would have been helpful. Better pans - micro plastics get into your food through damaged pans.

Amazing property and grounds. We could not fault anything. The kitchen area was fantastic. The owners had thought of everything and even left a lovely welcome pack. We only had four nights so we weren't there long enough just to sit and enjoy the facilities, although the hot tub was used and appreciated after busy days out. We will definitely be back, hopefully in the summer time so we can enjoy the outside area and BBQ etc.

Nothing we didn't like! It was one of , if not the best property we have hired. We can't wait to return.

Great location for our stay for the Yorkshire Marathon. Very well location for the park and run from Elvington Airfield. Extremely easy check in with lovely welcome pack. The housekeeper kept us informed of check in time. House was perfect for two families coming together. Outdoor space was even better than we had anticipated. Lovely kitchen/dining area with everything we needed. Cosy with stove and lots of blankets etc available. Bedrooms were ideal,all with new ensuites. Abundance of towels for bathrooms and hot tub. Shower gel, toilet roll, hand wash, dishwasher tablets etc all provided.

Everything was ideal - a few additions to kitchen could be hand held electric mixer and whisk, coffee machine? But not a necessity.
