Penthouse by Brosundet, Free Parking Space

De locatie is perfect, vrijwel in het centrum van het prachtige Ålesund. Gratis parkeren is ook een groot pluspunt. Het appartement is op zich prima en we hadden voor ons korte verblijf alles wat we nodig hadden. Toch heb ik een aantal opmerkingen

Het appartement was niet schoon, met name de keuken had echt een grondige schoonmaakbeurt nodig. Het meubilair is versleten en de douchekop is duidelijk aan vervanging toe — hij lekt aan alle kanten. Het gebouw waarin het appartement zich bevindt, maakt een verwaarloosde indruk en deed ons denken aan een drugspand. De communicatie met de eigenaar verloopt moeizaam: je ontvangt veel automatische berichten, maar als je ergens op reageert (zoals een verzoek voor een vroege check-in), blijft een antwoord uit. Al met al vind ik de gevraagde prijs veel te hoog voor wat je ervoor krijgt.

The apartment was really lovely, modern spacious comfortable. Having guest Netflix on the tv was a nice bonus and the host gave us good tips for our short stay in Ålesund.

The several flights of spiral stairs up to the apartment it was quaint but you’d need to keep the luggage light.

Central location. It’s like an apartment with lots of space for lounging, preparing meals if one chooses to do so, and a dining table. It has an oven, microwave, coffee maker, hot pot and large refrigerator/freezer and dishwasher. There is a washer/dryer off bathroom which we did not use. Parking space is provided if one has a car. Public transportation is nearby as well. There are a variety of restaurants and pubs as well as a grocery store and bottle shop in the area. The host did a great job of providing photos of where to park, how to get in, spiral staircase to get to top floor, etc. It was full disclosure of what to expect and was accurate. Appreciated hosts recommendations of walks and favorites for coffee, hikes, eating out, etc.

Would appreciate a dish towel and dish rag in kitchen area for wiping hands, countertops and dining table.

Nice location, very central and easy to walk into the centre. Bed was comfortable.

The entrance was very tired and needs work as the paint is coming off the wall, the downstairs door didn’t lock. The apartment itself was tired, it felt like it has been modernised many years ago and the host is just ringing all of the money they can out of it. Finally the bedding, literally threadbare and has never seen an iron. Quite disappointing.

Location and good price . Host is very hospitable and provided good suggestions and support.

It has 4 floor .. and no elevators . Rest everything is good .

It was easy to find, thanks to the detailed instructions from the host. It was clean, spacious, well equipped and had bus stops, grocery store and restaurants nearby.
