Penthouse by Brosundet, Free Parking Space

the place is great in a great location. it's really close to what I would imagine is the city center. getting in the apartment was easy with the instructions given, no issues. the kitchen had everything you need.

the apartment is on the 4th floor, no elevator. we didn't know this in advance. I believe this is something that should be disclosed in the apartment description. it was practically impossible to make the small bedroom/living room dark during the night. this was an issue since the sun came up early and set late in the summer. I think some type of shading should be added.

Spacious, clean, and great location. The owner was very responsive and eager to meet all our needs. Good for a family of four with little kids.

The owner provided a picture of the entrance in the welcome email. However, we were looking for the door with a code that was located inside a non descriptive entrance. This led to a bit of confusion in finding the place. Also, the single sofa bed is not fit for adults with long legs.

The apartment was spacious and well-appointed with modern hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine, and sufficient crockery & cutlery. Beds and couches were comfortable The location was excellent close to the centre of Ålesund The communication with the owner was good and his directions to the property and free parking space (much appreciated) were accurate

The outside and entrance was rather shabby and required a lot of steps (57) up a steep spiral staircase. As we have found in other apartments in Norway little in the way of toiletries were provided. Travellers expect hand soap, body wash at least. Also some kitchen linen e.g. hand towel, tea towel.

Was centric and affordable price.

Not fully equipped (the bathroom didn't have hand soap). Bathroom slippery (what can be dangerous if travelling with kids or old people) and this can be fixed using a feet towel. The couch is not meant to be used as a sleeping bed as said in the description; it's not a sleeping couch. Third floor with no elevator (this was not explained in the description and it is important to say if travelling with kids or old people). Little details can be fixed and would make the experience way more fun.
