Penthouse by Brosundet, Free Parking Space

We had a great weekend in Ålesund. The apartment met our expectations.

There`s no elevator. It`s at the fourth floor. Just keep in mind that if you are old or handicapped this apartment might not be for you, as it could be dangerous walking up the stairs.

If you would like to stay in the city centre with spacious place and comfort. This is the place. The penthouse was very clean and the instructions to get into the building and the apartment were very clear. It is on the 4th floor, which was totally all right for us. We also received chocolates on arrival placed on our bed which was a really nice touch. There were all the amenities such as toilet paper, kitchen rolls etc available in the storage cupboard. The living room was very spacious which was the highlight of the penthouse I would say. There were also few games (puzzles ) for some entertainment and tv which could be connected to your phone or laptop to view anything other than what was available on the tv. The bathroom was clean and a marked, in case the floor might get wet and slippery. Would recommend a floor mat near the bath area. Otherwise it was perfect. You also have washing machine and dryer in case you would like to throw in your laundry. We had an absolutely comfortable and cozy stay. Would highly recommend the place to anyone visiting Ålesund.

The board on the door of the apartment could be highlighted and little bigger, to avoid confusion with the 3rd floor apartment.

Great. Ad said entrance was a bit so so, and in fairness it was. But well worth it, as the appartment was great in all senses. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Instructions were also very good and accurate

The location was good good. Nice view, could see cruise ships docked. Kitchen facilities were very good. Comfortable living area.

Two smoke detectors didn't have batteries & none were provided. Apparently there is a fire extinguisher in a cupboard. Dumb place. A sign highlighting what to do in the event of a fire should be in the apartment. It is a potential death trap. The spiral staircase with 55 stairs wasn't mentioned in the description. You wouldn't call the entryway a playground. I couldn't open the dishwasher or washer/dryer. Couldn't increase the volume on the tv. Glass in shower was dirty. Some out of date food in cupboard.

Good location. Free parking but narrow space. Large apartment. Nice kitchen. Washer/dryer.

Very unpleasant entryway from the street.AC is in the hallway by the door and barely working.
