Central Studio Near Usher Hall & Edinburgh Castle

Room was quite comfortable and handy near the castle and city centre. Kitchen utensils and laundromat were good.

The flat we stayed at was located in the basement we did not expected to be. The stairs was too narrow for big luggage and not clean.

Central location was ideal for our needs. Basement apartment was very quiet. Although apartment is very compact, we had everything we needed. Clean and comfortable bed, fluffy towels.

Communal stairwell was poorly lit, with a wobbly handrail. Inside the apartment there was limited storage, and hanging rail for clothes was way too high, I could not reach it. Kitchen was functional, but very dated.

Convenient to old town and the castle and train station Plenty of places to eat and drink around us. Walking distance everywhere we wanted to go. With a beautiful comfy bed as well as ability to eat in for a change as well as get our clothes washed and dried. It was a welcome break after 6 weeks living out of a suitcase We also welcomed the plentiful information from David about our stay.

The central location was good and communications were great.

The studio is in the basement of the building which was a bit smelly. The bathroom door is a bi-fold and quite rickety. The very small bathroom sink was difficult to navigate (when brushing our teeth) with the vanity above it. Mirrors are very limited. This might be super picky, but for the price I paid, I would have hoped for a pint of milk in the fridge for tea/coffee.

We liked the location and that there was a washing machine/dryer available to do our laundry.

We didn’t like that there was no early check in available. The lockers to hold bags were quite pricey.

Little apartment all-in-one in a good central location at the foot of the castle hill. Kitchen with everything available, sofa and bed. Good shower, nice soaps, and good towels. Very good and prompt assistance from David.

The apartment is very small and it is located in a basement, which makes it pretty humid. There is not so much space and it is not well sound-isolated (we could hear the person upstairs in all his/her movements). At night we had to switch off the boiler to have some silence. The bathroom is very tiny, especially the sink and it has no good water pressure in the toilet. The bed was very uncomfortable, the mattress too soft and sinking in the center. In my opinion the cost was to high for what was offered.
