York Cottage a period character 2 bedroom cottage

Location ideal for me and my dog, superb beach and woodland walking a short drive away. And footpaths close to cottage. Cottage spacious, bed very comfortable, garden secure for dog (fences were all fixed). Lovely and warm despite the kitchen radiator not working, just didn’t stay in there too long! On a very quiet road so peaceful. Would return.

Nothing major. Guide for oven would be useful. I couldn’t work out what all the settings meant. Same for air fryer, I think some of the markings may be worn off. A bit of guesswork used on both and I survived.

Layout of property, location ,bedding ,loo rolls , hand sanitiser , towels ,generall cleanliness ., I would go again.

Heating was hit n miss , but as there was an open fireplace I bought some logs and had a fire most night s ,thankfully there was also plug in electric fire ,,TV remote,s caused me some probs as I,m not tech minded ,but call to owner sorted it , the rugs in sitting room n dining room appeared worse for wear ,,n lighting in sitting room n bed room I found quite dim as I,m used to reading in both rooms,,which I can remedy when I go again as I have a portable bright reading light.

It was a bit cold on arrival.

Perfect cottage in a lovely village with plenty of places to walk the dog. The cottage was clean, warm and cosy. Slept very well in a comfortable bed. The Queen Victoria pub served great food and there were several coffee and food places. Great walks along the local beaches.

Nothing to dislike

Very disappointed lots of dust cobwebs on ceiling very soiled oven some radiators not working very black mould in shower back garden a tip fencing down could not let dog out .

Fantastic location for a winter break of walking and bird watching. Very comfortable bed. Extremely quiet. Front room and bedrooms nice and warm once heating is on. Loved the open fire.

Kitchen and downstairs bathroom were freezing as radiators don’t work there. The garden is not secure ( maybe recent storm damage to fences). No welcome touches such as tea/coffee, instructions for heating/cooker, local info etc as you’d usually find in a let like this.
