The Crossings Inn, Eco-friendly cabin in the Cumbrian countryside with heating and hot water

It is nestled in between trees on the farm where waking up to the animals first thing in the morning was beautiful. Off to the bottom of the Crossings Inn where the food is absolutely delicious and close by Carlise about a 30 minute drive.

The bed was slightly hard and not great it was to single beds.

Location and able to sit out and look over the fields comfy beds 2 showers and toilets lovely hot water and heating

Door was horrendous to open and close no cooking utensils or frying pan or saucepan luckily I had taken my own frying pan had to flip my egg with a cutlery spoon why provide a hob if you don’t provide any thing to cook with shower floor when wet is extremely slippy and dangerous needs a waterproof mat so glad I didn’t shower my disabled daughter as I had difficulty staying on my feet also would been nice to have had some tourist information leaflets inside of where to stay would been nice to have had a area fenced off at the front for the dogs

Clean and fresh property, comfy as well. Quiet location Cheap

Broken door Pots small and don’t work on the induction hobs We came with 2 dogs and there was no fence for them, they had to be on lead most time. Had to be kept inside of the property

The facilities were adequate, but you definitely need at least a radio in the cabin

The washbasin in the bathroom was a little too small, but the shower was very good. There was no frying pan, but we managed to borrow one.

The beds were comfy and the place was warm

No wifi at all in the cabin also no mobile connections either No tv No soap in the bathroom No microwave Pub food was expensive We were warned our electric would go off the day we left so no facilities for leaving On the final day checking out I received an email of how to check out and no where on that email did it explain how to check out. The email is what I assume I was supposed to receive before I even checked in as it had vital information such as how to pull out the sofa bed, what I would need to bring and what is provided, activities and places in the area to visit, do’s and don’ts in the cabin ,which we were going to do a bbq but ended up not and one of the donts was no bbqs, just very disappointed by our experience
