Home from Home in our Self-Contained Annexe

Bigger than expected, welcoming and well equipped. Straight forward check in/out.

Simply outstanding hosts. Lynne and Kev kept in touch both before and during our stay and did all they could to make our visit memorable. Small but compact apartment fully equipped with everything you could need for a six day stay and lots of little extras. We arrived to a cupboard and fridge full of items such as bread, milk, cereals and canned foods. Very thoughtful as the nearest shopping centre is about 5 miles away in Saffron Walden. Comfortable bed with plenty of pillows and like the rest of the house the bathroom was spotless and well equipped. Parking is handy, just outside the door and access to Cambridge and East Anglia is easy, although some side roads are challenging. Very quiet offering a great nights sleep and we felt very safe leaving windows open at night. Radwinter is a very small settlement and the locals are exceptionally welcoming. We spent one Saturday afternoon at the bowling club and were invited to a cream tea at the local church. A wonderful way to finish off our three month tour of the UK. The only possible addition we would have liked to see was a comprehensive compendium of the property with a bit of background on our hosts and the local community. Only that we cannot rate this property 11 out of ten!

Every little detail of the flat has been designed as a cosy English home instead of just being a hartless common rental flat. We have full of surprises finding well prepared snacks and breakfast ingredients for us in cabinet and fridge.

The entry door hinges might need some lubricant.

We were made very welcome, the house was very clean and well equipped. There was milk in the fridge and cereal and bread for breakfast.

Lovely homely property where we felt very comfortable and welcome. It was lovely to have a few bits in the fridge and in the cupboards. Everything was straightforward and we slept well. Thank you for having us.
