Home from Home in our Self-Contained Annexe

My first reaction was, 'Wow!' It was clean and welcoming, with a comfortable sitting and dining area and great TV. Instructions for everything were clear, along with free WiFi. The kitchen was fully equipped, though no oven. We were made very welcome by the milk, drinks, bread and welcome cakes. Upstairs was a double bed, plenty of storage, another TV, and a shower room that looked brand new. I cannot recommend this place too highly. It really felt like a home from home.

The mattress was a bit too soft for me but my husband loved it and we both slept well.

it was a delight to find such a well thought out welcome. A chocolate muffin has to be the perfect ending to long day away from home! The breakfast laid on was perfect for our needs.It is a lovely setting and close to where we needed to work in Wimpish. it's a quiet location, we didn't hear a sound other than birdsong. Fabulous.

How well equipped and clean the property was, including the complimentary food and drinks.

The hosts were very friendly and provided little extras such as bread, milk and cakes, which was very thoughtful. The property was is a lovrly quiet village setting and was spotlessly clean. All home comforts were provided. ⁹

The bed was a little too soft and springy for us. Not great if you suffer from any back problems.

Home from Home was an excellent base whilst visiting some family and friends. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Good off road parking. The surprise treats left by Lynne were lovely! Would stay again and recommend to any friends travelling to Saffron Walden area.

Really was a home from home. Beautifully kitted out, Clean, comfortable, beautiful setting, Would definitely stay again, wish we’d had longer than one night.

It was a brilliant place to stay. Lynne and Kevin provided every comfort. Can’t recommend home from home highly enough. It was like a home away from home. It was cosy and warm.

I had a wonderful stay in that appartment. Every detail is lovingly designed so that you can feel comfortable. There are lots of little treats, many books, games, DVDs and TV programs for rainy days. The landscape is also very beautiful.

The property was absolutely gorgeous. A real home from home. So welcoming, comfortable and smelt amazing! A great location too. Parking was a great bonus. There wasn’t anything that the hosts hadn’t thought off! You name it, it was there! We were VERY impressed. The gorgeous treats that were left for our arrival were a real surprise and we were very grateful. Lynne & Kev are a lovely couple and great hosts. They are very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the UK. We will definitely be back later on in the year.
