Home from Home in our Self-Contained Annexe

Lovely apartment and thank you for all the breakfast items.

The property was clean,tidy,cosy,and very cheerful and bright.It definitely is like going from home to home. The kitchen is well stocked. The sofa was lovely and cosy to sit and relax after a hard day at work.

The bed was a bit too soft for us .

Beautiful Location, barely any light pollution. easy to find. Property had everything needed to enjoy your stay. Food in cupboards , condiments, boxes of cereals, (mini 30g).tins of soup and beans bread in the bread bin. Biscuit barrel full of individually wrapped biscuits. A cake, tea, coffee and sugar. Fridge was stocked with, 4pt carton of milk, 2 cans of pop, 2 bottles of water, 2 cartons of fresh orange juice, butter and mini pots of jam and marmalade. Under counter fridge. However there is no freezer. Shops are about 5 miles away, so unless you have your own car, this may be an issue. But certainly enough foid to get you by for a few of days. The sofa bed downstairs was made up ready for us arriving. . This was a very firm mattresses. There is also the convenience of a downstairs toilet. Upstairs, plenty of space for clothing. 2 wardrobes and plenty of draw space. There is an on suite shower and toilet with a sink. There was also a huge fan, which in the heat of 35 degrees was a godsend. The double bed was very comfortable. Mattress was soft. Kitchen, window has a lovely view onto their really nice, well kept back garden. The kitchen had everything you need, it doesn't have a full cooker, but does have two ring cooker top and a combination- microwave oven and an airfryer. My daughter and I were barely home so didnt require these, but dont be put off by the lack of a full oven. There is sky tv, and a host of board games under the stairs if required. Alongside hoover and brushes. Clothes hanger etc. There is space to park your car, on a gravel drive infront of the house. Lots of lovely places to walk and see in the surrounding areas. Saffron Waldon, Audley End, Bury not far and into Cambridge. Riding Stables. Felixstowe is around an hours drive, but beautiful for a day out at the seaside. The hosts, Lynne and Kevin are lovely and will try their best to accommodate you. Kevin even carried our suitcases as it was hard to pull them over the...

No use of a garden, however I do understand why. Given the have a lovely little dog. There is a little wrought iron table and two chairs, near the back gate to their garden, which is nice to use when have a cuppa in the morning. I would of like the shiwer to of had a bit more pressure, but its still does the job.

The owners had gone to so much trouble, there was bread and jams, biscuits and cake and tea and coffee making stuff so we had a drink and something to eat if we wanted, it was really clean and comfortable, real home from home, would recommend it to anyone x

It really is home from home. Spacious, comfortabla and well equipped. Loved all the little extras, especially in the kitchen. Breakfast cereal, bread, milk, cakes, cold drinks in the fridge, to name a few. Bed is very comfortable. Set in a delightful village and close to Saffron Walden. Our main reason to stay was to visit Audley House and Gardens, which is well worth a visit. Owners live next door so on hand if need anything. Would certainly stay again if back in this area.

Self contained. Private. Parking. Pleasant village location. Well stocked. Very nicely furnished with good broadband and tv. Extra touches like delicious muffins. The host was very welcoming and helpful and supplied cafetière and ground coffee on request.

We loved everything about this property. It was the little touches that really made it a home from home. You will not be disappointed if you book a stay here, next time we’re in the area we’ll be back. Thank you.

It is a great apartment. Good size, great facilities, and a lot of nice touches throughout. It is refreshing to be in an apartment where everything has been thought through so well. Owners are super easy to deal with.
