Historical Hotel - House of Ludington

The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The $15 chef's salad was wonderful.

The uneven floors do not work well for elderly people. Regulating room temp was not possible.

I missed the breakfast but the location was cool

The view of Lake Michigan

It was so so hot in our room & no way to control the temperature. The hallway was noisy because it wasnt carpeted, nobody checked us in at all, it was very dusty behind the bed, no microwave. The bed was old & hard, did not have any bedbug protector. The blankets were itchy. The water shot up out of the toilet.

Historic, good restaurant.

It was clean and quiet. No hassle with anything.

No people/services, all codes and emergency numbers. I was hoping for room service, but my fault for not knowing it wasn't a thing with their restaurant.

The location

Everything else.You need to use lock box to get into the hotel. The carpet up the grand stairs is threadbare and faded. We walked down very dark halls to get to our room, which the numbers were missing and the veneer was stripped off some of the door. Another lock box to enter the room. It may be a historical hotel but there was nothing historical about the room. The headboards were aqua painted slats of wood. Windows absolutely filthy. The window air conditioner was on the floor. Not a chair able to fit in the room. Only holes remained where hooks had once been so there wasn’t anywhere to even hang a jacket. We left. Told that all the rooms were booked and ‘all the rooms pictures are posted on the website’. Which are deceiving at the least.
