Historical Hotel - House of Ludington

Historic hotel was like stepping back in time & staying with family. They had live music in the bar and our meal at the restaurant was fabulous!

Location and the staff were perfect!

The location of the hotel near the Ludington Park was perfect. I also liked the history of the hotel and wish there was more information available.

The online pictures look much nicer than the actual accomodations. The hotel and rooms are very dated and in need of renovation and updates. We never meet a single staff member. We were given codes for the main entrance and room doors. There was never any one at the front desk. There was not a coffee maker in our room. Coffee was available in the lobby in the morning, but not creamer.

The whole thing was a mess..no desk clerk..a waitress tried to check me..it showed I had reservation but they had no room..they claimed booking.com over booked and there's no rooms..I had to go around town to find a room..I will be file a complaint to get my money back..

We walked in saw the room, and left. First off no one at the front desk and couldn't get in the building. The elevator did not work, the bar restaurant was not open, the air conditioning on second level was an open window. The room had a floor that was not close to level, and resembled a 1950's hunting shack, with a tiny window air conditioner, that was not keeping up.

This old hotel is located right across the street from the lake. The bar/restaurant served a very nice dinner and the room, though small was all we needed. Everything was very clean and quiet.

The elevator was broken and the stairs were a steep climb.

Ambiance, view, quiet, great staff!

Time it takes for the water to get hot.
