Modern Apartment in the Heart of Bath

The location is superb with everything on the doorstep. The football table is a nice touch.

It is above a coffee shop which is handy but the noise of them banging the coffee grounds can be heard 2 floors up so if you plan on sleeping in past 9am when they open you will be disturbed. The property is single glazed and street and seagull noise can be heard which is understandable in a city centre. The property is quite run down and poorly maintained with mould in the shower, a gap in the vinyl flooring all around the shower, the basin slopes so you can’t put things on it, the carpet is worn right through on the stairs, sofas are cheap and hard, bedding had hairs on them, towels were thin and one of our party only had a tiny hand towel provided. It’s clean enough but definitely a no frills stay.

The location was great within walking distance from most things and the bedrooms were lovely. Communication was great with the host.

We stayed as a party of 7 with one toilet and not a great shower it was ok but to accommodate 7 adults another toilet would have been great! The sofa bed in the sitting room was very small for 2 adults (recommend just 1) the bedding also did not fit the bed. It was fine for staying just 2 nights so we managed but staying any longer would have been a struggle.

Most annoying was the deposit taken which was high 300 pounds was taken off twice in error. The agency obviously had done this to other tenants before as I saw afterwards on the previous reviews.the agency were not least surprised when I mentioned it. 600 pounds out your bank account extra is not what anyone needs. Place was very tired carpets badly worn. Only one lamp in bedroom worked so one lamp beside double bed none at single. The bathroom badly needed updating. The towels were completely worn out and discoloured. The constant messages from the agency with so many rules I have never had before on Airbnb. I would recommend the owner changes there agency to one that is more efficient and less aggressive. I would like to point out I am not normally a complainer. I have never ever left a negative review in all years I have stayed in holiday lets Feel sorry for owner that there what could be a lovely flat has been badly maintained and managed

Location was great, easy to access keys and clean and tidy.

the shower cubicle was very small and only having one bathroom between 6 people proved a little challenging at times. The sofa bed was not very comfy - i was the one who slept on that and it definitely wasn't big enough for two people as advertised.

The location was amazing! The unit is typical Olde English and that was amazing! Perfect to really experience Bath! Cafe just downstairs was the best! Really friendly owners. Beds and linens plush and comfortable. Beautiful styling!

When we arrived, the property had not been cleaned. The beds were dirty. The tables were dirty. The toilet was dirty. They were damp towels. The whole place looked as if it had been ransacked. The actual decor and suitability of the accommodation for three elderly ladies was totally unsuitable. I contacted the property owners and dealt with a person called Aileen. She was extraordinarily helpful and managed to move us to other accommodation. However, this accommodation required an Uber ride to the other side of town whereas we needed to be in the city centre. It was also in a very very rundown student area. Although the property inside was clean there were many issues the shower flooded the bathroom and was in a bath which is not easily accessible for somebody with hip issues and in that 80th year complaints were made for a refund but as yet have not been accepted I wish to follow this app with Booking.com and through the property services. As you know, I am a frequent user of Booking.com and have rarely very rarely been so disappointed and let down by accommodation.
