Magpie homestay & jungle trekking especially for guest trekking with us

This was by far our best stay during our whole trip in Indonesia. The bungalows were both very comfortable, we stayed in one before and the other one after the jungle tour. The place is beautifully decorated with a lot of plants and animals to see in the garden. The owner was super friendly and helped us to arrange the 3-day jungle tour, a village tour, transportation to and from Bukit Lawang, the food, and she even gave us medicine when we were ill. There is a restaurant on the property, at which you can order delicious food any hour. Such a lovely stay, this made our time in Bukit Lawang unforgettable! Thank you so much for everything!

Asniar ist wirklich eine sehr liebe, freundliche und hilfreiche Gastgeberin. Jeder Wunsch wurde von ihr sofort erfüllt. Sie hat uns sogar Tabletten gegeben gegen Magendarmbeschwerden da unsere nicht geholfen haben! Das Frühstück wurde immer frisch zubereitet und war lecker! Die Unterkunft war sehr geräumig die Betten mit Moskito Netzen ! Wir waren hier natürlich für das Dchungeltrekking welche von Asniar organisiert wurde! Unsere beiden Guides Nasir ( Bruder von Asniar) und Jasu waren wirklich großartig. Schon nach kurzer Zeit haben wir die ersten Orang Utans gesehen. Und wir hatten sogar Glück die ganz großen und alten Orang Utans zu sehen. Es war atemberaubend. Nasir und Jasu haben sich sehr um uns gekümmert und auch beim klettern im Dschungel viel geholfen. Das Trekking war anspruchsvoll müssen wir schon zugeben, aber es hat sich gelohnt! Wir haben viele Pause gemacht und leckeres Essen bekommen. Die Übernachtung im Camp am Fluss war eine interessante Erfahrung und das Rafting hat Spaß gemacht! Eine kleine Familie die sich gegenseitig unterstützt, um es dem Gast so komfortabel wie nur möglich zu machen

Everything is much more beautiful than in the photos. The hostess is very hospitable, helpful, and an excellent cook. She helped me solve a problem. The trek into the jungle with the guides Kiteng and Nasir was truly magical – they are very experienced and friendly, and they know exactly where it’s most likely to see wildlife. With the hostess, there’s no need to bargain (as others have already mentioned, and I can confirm) – the prices are fair. I highly recommend this place.

The place is even more beautiful than the photos show. The hostess is incredibly welcoming, very helpful, and cooks wonderfully. She even helped me solve an issue during my stay. The jungle trek with the guides Kiteng and Nasir was unforgettable – they are experienced, friendly, and know the best spots to see wildlife. There’s no need to negotiate with the hostess, as the prices are already fair. I truly recommend staying here.

Tout était parfait, l’hôtel était très propre et l’hôte très gentille. On s’est occupé de rien, le taxi nous a cherché à l’aéroport et nous a ramené.

Anisa was very kind and helped with everything organizing tours. Cooking was excellent. Food was freshly prepared. It was an amazing tour to the orang utans with brillant guides and again food during jungle tour was excellent.

Lovely little bungalow set in pretty garden. Staff excellent especially on our trek where they were very knowledgeable ethical and really great with the children.

Bungalows set in lovely gardens, very peaceful. Our guide for the jungle trekking was knowledgeable, attentive and ethical.
