Rock Mill - Stunning Studio Apartment

We had a wonderful stay - contact with our hosts was straightforward and access was as described. The building was really well maintained and our apartment was well furnished and equipped and very clean. We are not dog owners or bike riders but we noted the fantastic services available for them including a dog washing area, boot washing area, lockers etc as you enter the building. In addition there was a play area for children and an onsite cafe/pizzeria. We particularly liked the double entry security. We will definitely be returning.

Nothing - we loved it all!

The apartment was well stocked, lovely hot shower, comfy bed. Great view of the cliff opposite. Nice nearby walks. good parking areas. Kitchen was pretty well set up.

The toilet/shower was very smelly - ammonia smell (septic tank?) It was not that clean - some dirt on the floor and in the cupboards on arrival. The mattress was filthy when we stripped back covers as asked to do so.

Nice set up for what we needed and fairly modern and newly done. Easy parking and EV charge point, Goid for walking, easy key access and restaurant next door.

Arrived and blind was down, so room dark! Realised blind was broken and had not been fixed but just left down. Some plates and the mats were dirty. Toiletries unchecked, some empty and one - the shower gel - had been filled with water. The shower room, whilst lovely (great shower) had a stale drain smell). The guest booklet did not have the info for the oven etc in and so we had to search on-line to work out how to use the oven. So - poor attention to detail/lazy approach to what otherwise is a great studio apartment. They were responsive to my messages, but due to our late arrival time and activities, we didn’t really benefit from the replaced blind and toiletries (the next day) and had already cleaned the plates and mats in order to use them.

The concept

It’s on a busy road and the front apartments are overlooking this road. The traffic is heavy and don’t expect to sleep if you get the front ones allocated. They will offer ears buds but don’t work and you will need to share since they don’t have enough. I would assume that if we were in the back apartments, the noise would have been less and our stay more comfortable.

We had such a lovely stay in Rock Mills, apartment was very nice and clean, we found everything what we needed, really enjoyed our stay and the next door restaurant, highly recommended to everyone😍
