"Great place to stay"

10.0

Lovely cottage and well equipped with everything you need. Comfy beds, both bedrooms a good size and plenty of storage for our clothes etc. Would stay again and couldn’t fault it. Nice quiet village and friendly neighbours. Great location between Buxton and Bakewell making getting around easy and the pub over the road did good food which was just what we needed after busy days out. Recommend for a stay in this area.

"Beautifully clean and well located property."

8.0

Location especially and the property was very well cared for and exceptionally clean. Had most things we needed and was comfortable. Welcome instructions were very helpful.

Just two things - kitchen sink drain smelt quite strongly when water went down and we could only get the front left ring on the hob to work properly (front right didn’t switch on at all and the back left switched on and then off again. But otherwise no complaints at all.

"Great location for Peak Distict short break"

9.0

Great location for exploring the Peak District. Cottage full of character with lovely cosy living room and good sized main bedroom. Friiendly local pub 30 seconds away with views from the beer garden.

Not quite as clean as we were expecting, accepting that stone cottages are hard to keep clean and we are quite particular.....

Location

Drab and dirty armchairs, TV didn’t stream live TV. In need of some tlc. Appears to be a bit neglected. Kitchen needs updating

"Peak District perfection 👌"

9.0

Lovely cosy, old cottage provided a relaxing base for our exploration of the area. Very quiet and surrounded by beautiful countryside, ideal for hikes in the peak district. The owner provided helpful notes on nearby shops, restaurants and attractions. Very friendly pub opposite the cottage with garden views across the hills. Clean and modern bathroom, comfy bed and great little living room.

Not a complaint, but due to the age of the cottage, just be aware that there is no sound insulation so it could be tricky if one person wants to sleep while others stay up! We were also lucky enough to have sunshine in May, which meant that the bedrooms got very bright as of sunrise at 4.30am.
