NEW charming apt in City Center

The drainage in the bathroom (both sink and shower) was annoyingly slow. I tried to extend my stay but the owners weren’t able to facilitate that despite it being available.

On the day of our arrival we were informed that the booking had to be cancelled. No alternative accommodation was initially suggested or any compensation (cancellation was due to their overbooking). After a phone call explaining that we were travelling with a young child and 2 elderly parents we were told that nothing could be done and that we had to arrange the cancellation. as they couldn’t do it from their end, if we wanted a refund. We called booking.com and we’re able to get a refund arranged. We were eventually offered alternative accommodation but by this point we had already made other plans. Deeply disappointed by the lack of customer care. We lost a days worth of holiday and it was a terrible start to our family holiday.

Det va JÄTTE dåligt att informationen kring att man inte kan komma in i lägenheten efter 00 inte fanns innan, vi hade endast nyckel till ytterdörren så om man skulle slänga soppor och dörren stängdes bakom en fick man gå hela vägen runt igen. Dem ljuger om att det skulle finnas en 24/7 reception för det fanns inte tillgängligt. Jag och mitt sällskap fick ställa in planer för att vi ens skulle komma in i lägenheten. Dem säger att det inte finns portkod med det finns det helt klart och tydligt. Bedrövligt att man inte gör något åt detta eller informerar gästerna innan man bokar för då hade vi aldrig bokat detta.

Beliggenheten var ok, Sengene var ok også.

The code box at the entrance door to the building was missing, the only way to enter the building was for the landlord to open the door for us electronically. They could do this until midnight. After midnight there was no possibility of entering the building. Our plans for Friday and Saturday night were completely ruined, as we had to be back at the apartment before midnight. There is an electronic key, which is not handed out. There is also a lift in the backyard, which is not disclosed. But it was not possible to gain access to the lift or electronic key.

De badkamer/ douche is oud. Er bevind zich schimmel in de douch en er is bijna geen waterdruk. Staan achter een plastic douchegordijn is niet meer van deze tijd. Het water in de basis will niet fatsoenlijk doorspoelen.

The space is great for our family. All the basics were there, and the staff were responsive, warm and helpful.

The apartment was lovely and well proportioned. The beds were comfortable and the rooms nicely decorated.

Getting access was tricky. The instructions were clear, but slightly misleading. The lock box to find the key was hard to find. The entrance to the building also uses a code, which was not supplied. Each time we wanted to get in, someone from the rental team had to buzz us in. This lead to some waiting. Also, the electric in the apartment seems quite dangerous as the wall plugs by the beds were extension leads simply glued on the wall (which came off). Other designer lights seemed to have been jury rigged up, instead done by a professional.

The property location was amazing. Very central and lots of shops/ cafes and metro on the doorstep. The communication was really good for check in and check out, they also checked in on us during the stay. The apartment was very spacious - the living area was lovely and nice to spend time in, during the evening when the baby was in bed.

No lift - our problem for not checking with the host. NB there was also a note at the bottom of the stairs no prams to be left. This made it very difficult getting up and down to the second floor. The entry system doesn’t work very well - you have to buzz at the main entrance and wait for the owner to let you in every time you come and go. On occasion we had no answer and other people needed to let us in the building. The kitchen and bathroom are very dated - could do with an upgrade, especially the shower. The heating was so hard to control, we turned the radiators off in every room but it was so hot in the night.
