Mombasa Comfort House, Old Town

Fatma is the best host in the world! She is kind and super helpful and incredibly welcoming; she will help with anything you may need. The location in the old town is perfect for exploring Mombasa on foot, it feels very safe and tuk tuks are cheap and plentiful if you prefer not to walk. Great cafes and restaurants a few minutes away. The apartment is clean and comfortable and very secure

The only thing I didnt like was the shower has no hot water. But this is common in Kenya and most of the time not needed because weather is warm

The location is just next to the most touristy area of Old Town but in the more dodgy-looking area of it and some users didn't want to come to this area. That being said, it was safe and calm for tourists, we had zero issues.

Nice place to stay in Old Town Mombasa, walking distance to Fort Jesus or restaurants. Owner very helpful and nice. We had even assistance at pick up or departure time early morning.

Old Town Mombassa requires visitors to observe own safety.

The host (a former TRAVEL AGENT!) was absolutely delightful. Born and raised in the area, she knew everyone and everywhere. She made us feel right at home!

I appreciate my host's support and helpfulness during my stay. She is an excellent host. I was struggling to find the way to the house and she came to pick me up. It was late at night and she helped me to find a good restaurant to get dinner and walked with me to get there. She helped to find a female guide for the city tour. The house was clean and well-equipped, in the heart of the old town. This place is a much stay.

Very friendly and helpful hostess. Plenty of cold fresh water included, as well as coffeé, thé etc. The location in the middle of old town.

Everything was good! There were no reception/guard but good security doors and windows, and the hostess lived close by and was easy to reach.

The apartment was the same as the photos. It was spacious ,well maintained and very near to Fort Jesus. The host Fatma is exceptional. She went out of her way to ensure that we were safe and comfortable. Will definitely go back.

Friendly clean spacious lodge in Mombasa Old Town, 10 minutes walk from Fort Jesus.

The accommodation looks like the pictures. It is a ground floor apartment. Fatma is very kind and helpful and lives upstairs and is available to help and offer recommendations. Old Town Mombasa is cool, we really liked it. There are restaurants around and the apartment is close to the waterfront. The apartment sleeps 5 and has a fridge, kitchen and bathroom. The walls are thin so you can hear noise from the street and other dwellings but it didn't bother me and I still slept very well.
