Cromwell Cottage - Dog Friendly

Ideal location for us as we were visiting friends for a party very close by. 2nd time at Cromwell Cottage and although we did not spend a lot of time in the house it is perfect. Jodie, the owner is really helpful and great communication.

It has lots of character and was very cosy with the log burner

There was no freezer and you definitely needed slippers as the floors were so cold ( it was December). Did not like having to use an app to lock and unlock front door

The property was full of character with its very steep staircases, uneven floors and wooden beams. It was beautifully clean and warm. On entering the property we were greeted by a lovely Christmas tree twinkling away and the cuff lovely cosy little living room. It made us feel very festive. The mince pies, crisps & milk, were a nice touch and received gratefully and the beds were so comfy. All three of us slept really well; my sister, my best friend and I.

We had a few little problems with the smart key, but the owner was very helpful and we soon had it sorted in just a few minutes. The ceiling on the second set of stairs is extremely low. As is the beam in the upstairs bedroom and could be problematic for anyone tall, as it sits at about 4 foot high but it’s all part of the character of the property. At 5ft 2 and 5ft 5”, we managed fine but the taller you are, the lower you need to stoop to pass under it (see photos)!

The property was very clean, cosy and conveniently located for our visit.

The low beam across the bedroom on the second floor was initially a novelty but it became a little bit of a nuisance having to keep ducking to go to the ensuite.

The cottage is perfect for our short stay, meeting my kids at Wells on the Monday. Here so comfy. Sitting room beautifully furnished.Like sitting in Cromwell days with a tv!
