Cromwell Cottage - Dog Friendly

Quirky old property, nicely decorated with a pretty enclosed rear garden . Ideal for a couple with a dog and to visit North Norfolks many attractions. The kitchen was well equipped everything we needed. Convenient parking nearby.

Characterful, nicely designed design interior, very comfortable 2 main beds which is excellent so many places have dreadful beds but these were fantastic. Lovely soft towels, all the amenities you need in the kitchen, lovely garden area to sit in. The host is extremely helpful and responsive which makes the stay easier.

The staircase to the attic was very narrow & steep and very difficult to manage only my very lithe teenage son managed it easily but even he was fearful of slipping it is quite hazardous so it would be a good idea to publish this aspect of the cottage because we as middle aged adults each with an injury right now found it very difficult to manage. The 2 small sofa beds are absolutely rock hard not at all comfortable and my kids fought loudly about not sleeping in them. Personally I can’t tolerate a room to sleep that isn’t dark, there are only shutters at the windows and they slant inwards and the room immediately floods with light when sun is up which was waking me far to early after little sleep, a dark room is really important for good sleep so I would recommend putting some curtains up too.

Dishwasher stopped working during first cycle and couldn't be fixed before we left. Fridge needed defrosting.

Very quirky property, main bedroom was roomy and king sized bed was very comfortable. Little sun trap patio which was very pleasant.

Hard to find any faults, but being 6’4 I banged my head a few times moving between rooms. Also fridge seemed to be running too cold and froze some of our food.
